I cry out with [my] whole heart; Hear me, O LORD! I will keep Your statutes.

In my distress I called upon the LORD, And cried out to my God; He heard my voice from His temple, And my cry came before Him, [even] to His ears.

Then the priests, the Levites, arose and blessed the people, and their voice was heard; and their prayer came [up] to His holy dwelling place, to heaven.

The righteousness of Your testimonies [is] everlasting; Give me understanding, and I shall live.

"Only may the LORD give you wisdom and understanding, and give you charge concerning Israel, that you may keep the law of the LORD your God.

"Now give me wisdom and knowledge, that I may go out and come in before this people; for who can judge this great people of Yours?"

Yes, if you cry out for discernment, [And] lift up your voice for understanding,

Then you will understand the fear of the LORD, And find the knowledge of God.

And He changes the times and the seasons; He removes kings and raises up kings; He gives wisdom to the wise And knowledge to those who have understanding.

If any of you lacks wisdom, let him ask of God, who gives to all liberally and without reproach, and it will be given to him.
