My days [are] like a shadow that lengthens, And I wither away like grass.

Man is like a breath; His days [are] like a passing shadow.

For we [are] aliens and pilgrims before You, As [were] all our fathers; Our days on earth [are] as a shadow, And without hope.

He comes forth like a flower and fades away; He flees like a shadow and does not continue.

For who knows what [is] good for man in life, all the days of his vain life which he passes like a shadow? Who can tell a man what will happen after him under the sun?

But it will not be well with the wicked; nor will he prolong [his] days, [which are] as a shadow, because he does not fear before God.

whereas you do not know what [will happen] tomorrow. For what [is] your life? It is even a vapor that appears for a little time and then vanishes away.

Because of Your indignation and Your wrath; For You have lifted me up and cast me away.

So Moses stretched out his rod over the land of Egypt, and the LORD brought an east wind on the land all that day and all [that] night. When it was morning, the east wind brought the locusts.

And the LORD turned a very strong west wind, which took the locusts away and blew them into the Red Sea. There remained not one locust in all the territory of Egypt.
