He remembers His covenant forever, The word [which] He commanded, for a thousand generations,

And confirmed it to Jacob for a statute, To Israel [as] an everlasting covenant,

Then the LORD appeared to Abram and said, "To your descendants I will give this land." And there he built an altar to the LORD, who had appeared to him.

And the LORD said to Abram, after Lot had separated from him: "Lift your eyes now and look from the place where you are -- northward, southward, eastward, and westward;

"And I will make your descendants as the dust of the earth; so that if a man could number the dust of the earth, [then] your descendants also could be numbered.

"And also the nation whom they serve I will judge; afterward they shall come out with great possessions.

So God heard their groaning, and God remembered His covenant with Abraham, with Isaac, and with Jacob.

He has helped His servant Israel, In remembrance of [His] mercy,

As He spoke to our fathers, To Abraham and to his seed forever."

To perform the mercy [promised] to our fathers And to remember His holy covenant,

The oath which He swore to our father Abraham:

"Remember Abraham, Isaac, and Israel, Your servants, to whom You swore by Your own self, and said to them, 'I will multiply your descendants as the stars of heaven; and all this land that I have spoken of I give to your descendants, and they shall inherit [it] forever.' "

"[It is] not because of your righteousness or the uprightness of your heart [that] you go in to possess their land, but because of the wickedness of these nations [that] the LORD your God drives them out from before you, and that He may fulfill the word which the LORD swore to your fathers, to Abraham, Isaac, and Jacob.

'Remember Your servants, Abraham, Isaac, and Jacob; do not look on the stubbornness of this people, or on their wickedness or their sin,

You will give truth to Jacob [And] mercy to Abraham, Which You have sworn to our fathers From days of old.
