Do you intend to rebuke [my] words, And the speeches of a desperate one, [which are] as wind?

"My soul loathes my life; I will give free course to my complaint, I will speak in the bitterness of my soul.

" Hold your peace with me, and let me speak, Then let come on me what [may!]

" Though I speak, my grief is not relieved; And [if] I remain silent, how am I eased?

Bear with me that I may speak, And after I have spoken, keep mocking.

My heart was hot within me; While I was musing, the fire burned. [Then] I spoke with my tongue:

I have proclaimed the good news of righteousness In the great assembly; Indeed, I do not restrain my lips, O LORD, You Yourself know.

Then they said to one another, "We [are] truly guilty concerning our brother, for we saw the anguish of his soul when he pleaded with us, and we would not hear; therefore this distress has come upon us."

Now when she came to the man of God at the hill, she caught him by the feet, but Gehazi came near to push her away. But the man of God said, "Let her alone; for her soul [is] in deep distress, and the LORD has hidden [it] from me, and has not told me."

So she said, "Did I ask a son of my lord? Did I not say, 'Do not deceive me'?"

And He took with Him Peter and the two sons of Zebedee, and He began to be sorrowful and deeply distressed.

Then He said to them, "My soul is exceedingly sorrowful, even to death. Stay here and watch with Me."

And being in agony, He prayed more earnestly. Then His sweat became like great drops of blood falling down to the ground.

For out of much affliction and anguish of heart I wrote to you, with many tears, not that you should be grieved, but that you might know the love which I have so abundantly for you.

If I am wicked, woe to me; Even [if] I am righteous, I cannot lift up my head. [I am] full of disgrace; See my misery!

Another man dies in the bitterness of his soul, Never having eaten with pleasure.

And she [was] in bitterness of soul, and prayed to the LORD and wept in anguish.

" What shall I say? He has both spoken to me, And He Himself has done [it.] I shall walk carefully all my years In the bitterness of my soul.

Indeed [it was] for [my own] peace [That] I had great bitterness; But You have lovingly [delivered] my soul from the pit of corruption, For You have cast all my sins behind Your back.
