For God may speak in one way, or in another, [Yet man] does not perceive it.

Then He opens the ears of men, And seals their instruction.

And there are diversities of activities, but it is the same God who works all in all.

Now He who has prepared us for this very thing [is] God, who also has given us the Spirit as a guarantee.

In Him also we have obtained an inheritance, being predestined according to the purpose of Him who works all things according to the counsel of His will,

for it is God who works in you both to will and to do for [His] good pleasure.

To this [end] I also labor, striving according to His working which works in me mightily.

make you complete in every good work to do His will, working in you what is well pleasing in His sight, through Jesus Christ, to whom [be] glory forever and ever. Amen.

Once I have spoken, but I will not answer; Yes, twice, but I will proceed no further."

Then the king of Israel sent [someone] to the place of which the man of God had told him. Thus he warned him, and he was watchful there, not just once or twice.

Concerning this thing I pleaded with the Lord three times that it might depart from me.
