That He would show you the secrets of wisdom! For [they would] double [your] prudence. Know therefore that God exacts from you [Less] than your iniquity [deserves.]

"From where then does wisdom come? And where [is] the place of understanding?

Destruction and Death say, 'We have heard a report about it with our ears.'

And one of his servants said, "None, my lord, O king; but Elisha, the prophet who [is] in Israel, tells the king of Israel the words that you speak in your bedroom."

Would not God search this out? For He knows the secrets of the heart.

Indeed, the darkness shall not hide from You, But the night shines as the day; The darkness and the light [are] both alike [to You.]

He reveals deep and secret things; He knows what [is] in the darkness, And light dwells with Him.

"Therefore do not fear them. For there is nothing covered that will not be revealed, and hidden that will not be known.

But God has revealed [them] to us through His Spirit. For the Spirit searches all things, yes, the deep things of God.

Therefore judge nothing before the time, until the Lord comes, who will both bring to light the hidden things of darkness and reveal the counsels of the hearts. Then each one's praise will come from God.

May darkness and the shadow of death claim it; May a cloud settle on it; May the blackness of the day terrify it.

For the morning is the same to them as the shadow of death; If [someone] recognizes [them,] [They are in] the terrors of the shadow of death.

There is no darkness nor shadow of death Where the workers of iniquity may hide themselves.

He made the Pleiades and Orion; He turns the shadow of death into morning And makes the day dark as night; He calls for the waters of the sea And pours them out on the face of the earth; The LORD [is] His name.

To give light to those who sit in darkness and the shadow of death, To guide our feet into the way of peace."
