to bring the firstfruits of our dough, our offerings, the fruit from all kinds of trees, [the] new wine and oil, to the priests, to the storerooms of the house of our God; and to bring the tithes of our land to the Levites, for the Levites should receive the tithes in all our farming communities.

For the children of Israel and the children of Levi shall bring the offering of the grain, of the new wine and the oil, to the storerooms where the articles of the sanctuary [are, where] the priests who minister and the gatekeepers and the singers [are;] and we will not neglect the house of our God.

And he had prepared for him a large room, where previously they had stored the grain offerings, the frankincense, the articles, the tithes of grain, the new wine and oil, which were commanded [to be given] to the Levites and singers and gatekeepers, and the offerings for the priests.

Then all Judah brought the tithe of the grain and the new wine and the oil to the storehouse.

And I appointed as treasurers over the storehouse Shelemiah the priest and Zadok the scribe, and of the Levites, Pedaiah; and next to them [was] Hanan the son of Zaccur, the son of Mattaniah; for they were considered faithful, and their task [was] to distribute to their brethren.

"And they burn to the LORD every morning and every evening burnt sacrifices and sweet incense; [they] also [set] the showbread [in order on] the pure [gold] table, and the lampstand of gold with its lamps to burn every evening; for we keep the command of the LORD our God, but you have forsaken Him.

"Now look, God Himself is with us as [our] head, and His priests with sounding trumpets to sound the alarm against you. O children of Israel, do not fight against the LORD God of your fathers, for you shall not prosper!"

Now Hezekiah commanded [them] to prepare rooms in the house of the LORD, and they prepared them.

Jehiel, Azaziah, Nahath, Asahel, Jerimoth, Jozabad, Eliel, Ismachiah, Mahath, and Benaiah [were] overseers under the hand of Cononiah and Shimei his brother, at the commandment of Hezekiah the king and Azariah the ruler of the house of God.

For in this trusted office [were] four chief gatekeepers; they were Levites. And they had charge over the chambers and treasuries of the house of God.

The sons of Laadan, the descendants of the Gershonites of Laadan, heads of their fathers' [houses,] of Laadan the Gershonite: Jehieli.

Of the Amramites, the Izharites, the Hebronites, and the Uzzielites:

And his brethren by Eliezer [were] Rehabiah his son, Jeshaiah his son, Joram his son, Zichri his son, and Shelomith his son.

"So you shall appoint Aaron and his sons, and they shall attend to their priesthood; but the outsider who comes near shall be put to death."

"This [is] what [pertains] to the Levites: From twenty-five years old and above one may enter to perform service in the work of the tabernacle of meeting;

"and at the age of fifty years they must cease performing this work, and shall work no more.

because their duty [was] to help the sons of Aaron in the service of the house of the LORD, in the courts and in the chambers, in the purifying of all holy things and the work of the service of the house of God,

And it came to pass when the priests came out of the [Most] Holy [Place] (for all the priests who [were] present had sanctified themselves, without keeping to their divisions),

and the Levites [who were] the singers, all those of Asaph and Heman and Jeduthun, with their sons and their brethren, stood at the east end of the altar, clothed in white linen, having cymbals, stringed instruments and harps, and with them one hundred and twenty priests sounding with trumpets --

Blessed is the man who listens to me, Watching daily at my gates, Waiting at the posts of my doors.

But those who wait on the LORD Shall renew [their] strength; They shall mount up with wings like eagles, They shall run and not be weary, They shall walk and not faint.

or ministry, [let us use it] in [our] ministering; he who teaches, in teaching;
