King Cyrus also brought out the articles of the house of the LORD, which Nebuchadnezzar had taken from Jerusalem and put in the temple of his gods;

This [is] the number of them: thirty gold platters, one thousand silver platters, twenty-nine knives,

Also let the gold and silver articles of the house of God, which Nebuchadnezzar took from the temple which [is] in Jerusalem and brought to Babylon, be restored and taken back to the temple which [is] in Jerusalem, [each] to its place; and deposit [them] in the house of God" --

Nebuchadnezzar also carried off [some] of the articles from the house of the LORD to Babylon, and put them in his temple at Babylon.

And all the articles from the house of God, great and small, the treasures of the house of the LORD, and the treasures of the king and of his leaders, all [these] he took to Babylon.

The basins, the firepans, the bowls, the pots, the lampstands, the spoons, and the cups, whatever [was] solid gold and whatever [was] solid silver, the captain of the guard took away.

While he tasted the wine, Belshazzar gave the command to bring the gold and silver vessels which his father Nebuchadnezzar had taken from the temple which [had been] in Jerusalem, that the king and his lords, his wives, and his concubines might drink from them.

Then they brought the gold vessels that had been taken from the temple of the house of God which [had been] in Jerusalem; and the king and his lords, his wives, and his concubines drank from them.

Blessed [be] the LORD God of our fathers, who has put [such a thing] as this in the king's heart, to beautify the house of the LORD which [is] in Jerusalem,

The king's heart [is] in the hand of the LORD, [Like] the rivers of water; He turns it wherever He wishes.

"Then the same Sheshbazzar came [and] laid the foundation of the house of God which [is] in Jerusalem; but from that time even until now it has been under construction, and it is not finished."

All the articles of gold and silver [were] five thousand four hundred. All [these] Sheshbazzar took with the captives who were brought from Babylon to Jerusalem.

In the second year of King Darius, in the sixth month, on the first day of the month, the word of the LORD came by Haggai the prophet to Zerubbabel the son of Shealtiel, governor of Judah, and to Joshua the son of Jehozadak, the high priest, saying,

So the LORD stirred up the spirit of Zerubbabel the son of Shealtiel, governor of Judah, and the spirit of Joshua the son of Jehozadak, the high priest, and the spirit of all the remnant of the people; and they came and worked on the house of the LORD of hosts, their God,

"Speak now to Zerubbabel the son of Shealtiel, governor of Judah, and to Joshua the son of Jehozadak, the high priest, and to the remnant of the people, saying:

"Speak to Zerubbabel, governor of Judah, saying: 'I will shake heaven and earth.

who was with the proconsul, Sergius Paulus, an intelligent man. This man called for Barnabas and Saul and sought to hear the word of God.

But Elymas the sorcerer (for so his name is translated) withstood them, seeking to turn the proconsul away from the faith.

Then the proconsul believed, when he saw what had been done, being astonished at the teaching of the Lord.
