Now the rest of the acts of Jehoshaphat, first and last, indeed they [are] written in the book of Jehu the son of Hanani, which [is] mentioned in the book of the kings of Israel.

Now the rest of the acts of Hezekiah, and his goodness, indeed they [are] written in the vision of Isaiah the prophet, the son of Amoz, [and] in the book of the kings of Judah and Israel.

Now the rest of the acts of Solomon, all that he did, and his wisdom, [are] they not written in the book of the acts of Solomon?

Now when he was in affliction, he implored the LORD his God, and humbled himself greatly before the God of his fathers,

and prayed to Him; and He received his entreaty, heard his supplication, and brought him back to Jerusalem into his kingdom. Then Manasseh knew that the LORD [was] God.

Also his prayer and [how God] received his entreaty, and all his sin and trespass, and the sites where he built high places and set up wooden images and carved images, before he was humbled, indeed they [are] written among the sayings of Hozai.

And the LORD spoke to Manasseh and his people, but they would not listen.

For the LORD has poured out on you The spirit of deep sleep, And has closed your eyes, namely, the prophets; And He has covered your heads, [namely,] the seers.

Who say to the seers, "Do not see," And to the prophets, "Do not prophesy to us right things; Speak to us smooth things, prophesy deceits.

Then Amaziah said to Amos: "Go, you seer! Flee to the land of Judah. There eat bread, And there prophesy.

So the seers shall be ashamed, And the diviners abashed; Indeed they shall all cover their lips; For [there is] no answer from God."
