So Shishak king of Egypt came up against Jerusalem, and took away the treasures of the house of the LORD and the treasures of the king's house; he took everything. He also carried away the gold shields which Solomon had made.

So Hezekiah gave [him] all the silver that was found in the house of the LORD and in the treasuries of the king's house.

At that time Hezekiah stripped [the gold from] the doors of the temple of the LORD, and [from] the pillars which Hezekiah king of Judah had overlaid, and gave it to the king of Assyria.

[It is] a snare for a man to devote rashly [something as] holy, And afterward to reconsider [his] vows.
