Then Joshua cast lots for them in Shiloh before the LORD, and there Joshua divided the land to the children of Israel according to their divisions.

The lot is cast into the lap, But its every decision [is] from the LORD.

And they said to one another, "Come, let us cast lots, that we may know for whose cause this trouble [has come] upon us." So they cast lots, and the lot fell on Jonah.

Then the chief priests, the scribes, and the elders of the people assembled at the palace of the high priest, who was called Caiaphas,

When morning came, all the chief priests and elders of the people plotted against Jesus to put Him to death.

Now as they spoke to the people, the priests, the captain of the temple, and the Sadducees came upon them,

as well as Annas the high priest, Caiaphas, John, and Alexander, and as many as were of the family of the high priest, were gathered together at Jerusalem.

Now when the high priest, the captain of the temple, and the chief priests heard these things, they wondered what the outcome would be.
