Then he prepared a great feast for them; and after they ate and drank, he sent them away and they went to their master. So the bands of Syrian [raiders] came no more into the land of Israel.

Then Elisha died, and they buried him. And the [raiding] bands from Moab invaded the land in the spring of the year.

So Abimelech and all the people who [were] with him rose by night, and lay in wait against Shechem in four companies.

Then raiders came out of the camp of the Philistines in three companies. One company turned to the road to Ophrah, to the land of Shual,

another company turned to the road [to] Beth Horon, and another company turned [to] the road of the border that overlooks the Valley of Zeboim toward the wilderness.

Behold, as the eyes of servants [look] to the hand of their masters, As the eyes of a maid to the hand of her mistress, So our eyes [look] to the LORD our God, Until He has mercy on us.
