And it came to pass, when the LORD was about to take up Elijah into heaven by a whirlwind, that Elijah went with Elisha from Gilgal.

He went from year to year on a circuit to Bethel, Gilgal, and Mizpah, and judged Israel in all those places.

But he always returned to Ramah, for his home [was] there. There he judged Israel, and there he built an altar to the LORD.

"how God anointed Jesus of Nazareth with the Holy Spirit and with power, who went about doing good and healing all who were oppressed by the devil, for God was with Him.

Then after some days Paul said to Barnabas, "Let us now go back and visit our brethren in every city where we have preached the word of the Lord, [and see] how they are doing."

Then Elisha spoke to the woman whose son he had restored to life, saying, "Arise and go, you and your household, and stay wherever you can; for the LORD has called for a famine, and furthermore, it will come upon the land for seven years."

When I have cut off your supply of bread, ten women shall bake your bread in one oven, and they shall bring back your bread by weight, and you shall eat and not be satisfied.

"The LORD will strike you with consumption, with fever, with inflammation, with severe burning fever, with the sword, with scorching, and with mildew; they shall pursue you until you perish.

"The LORD will change the rain of your land to powder and dust; from the heaven it shall come down on you until you are destroyed.

"You shall carry much seed out to the field but gather little in, for the locust shall consume it.

"You shall have olive trees throughout all your territory, but you shall not anoint [yourself] with the oil; for your olives shall drop off.

Now there was a famine in the days of David for three years, year after year; and David inquired of the LORD. And the LORD answered, "[It is] because of Saul and [his] bloodthirsty house, because he killed the Gibeonites."

The word of the LORD that came to Jeremiah concerning the droughts.

Their nobles have sent their lads for water; They went to the cisterns [and] found no water. They returned with their vessels empty; They were ashamed and confounded And covered their heads.

Yes, the deer also gave birth in the field, But left because there was no grass.

"Son of man, when a land sins against Me by persistent unfaithfulness, I will stretch out My hand against it; I will cut off its supply of bread, send famine on it, and cut off man and beast from it.

"But I tell you truly, many widows were in Israel in the days of Elijah, when the heaven was shut up three years and six months, and there was a great famine throughout all the land;

Now the sons of the prophets who [were] at Bethel came out to Elisha, and said to him, "Do you know that the LORD will take away your master from over you today?" And he said, "Yes, I know; keep silent!"

Then Saul sent messengers to take David. And when they saw the group of prophets prophesying, and Samuel standing [as] leader over them, the Spirit of God came upon the messengers of Saul, and they also prophesied.

Blessed is the man who listens to me, Watching daily at my gates, Waiting at the posts of my doors.

Now so it was [that] after three days they found Him in the temple, sitting in the midst of the teachers, both listening to them and asking them questions.

Then they went out to see what had happened, and came to Jesus, and found the man from whom the demons had departed, sitting at the feet of Jesus, clothed and in his right mind. And they were afraid.

Now the man from whom the demons had departed begged Him that he might be with Him. But Jesus sent him away, saying,

And she had a sister called Mary, who also sat at Jesus' feet and heard His word.

"I am indeed a Jew, born in Tarsus of Cilicia, but brought up in this city at the feet of Gamaliel, taught according to the strictness of our fathers' law, and was zealous toward God as you all are today.

But He answered and said to them, "You give them something to eat." And they said to Him, "Shall we go and buy two hundred denarii worth of bread and give them [something] to eat?"

"I have compassion on the multitude, because they have now continued with Me three days and have nothing to eat.

Then His disciples answered Him, "How can one satisfy these people with bread here in the wilderness?"

So He commanded the multitude to sit down on the ground. And He took the seven loaves and gave thanks, broke [them] and gave [them] to His disciples to set before [them;] and they set [them] before the multitude.

But He said to them, "You give them something to eat." And they said, "We have no more than five loaves and two fish, unless we go and buy food for all these people."

Then Jesus said to them, "Children, have you any food?" They answered Him, "No."

Then, as soon as they had come to land, they saw a fire of coals there, and fish laid on it, and bread.
