So they took the king and brought him up to the king of Babylon at Riblah, and they pronounced judgment on him.

Therefore the LORD brought upon them the captains of the army of the king of Assyria, who took Manasseh with hooks, bound him with bronze [fetters,] and carried him off to Babylon.

Nebuchadnezzar king of Babylon came up against him, and bound him in bronze [fetters] to carry him off to Babylon.

At the turn of the year King Nebuchadnezzar summoned [him] and took him to Babylon, with the costly articles from the house of the LORD, and made Zedekiah, [Jehoiakim's] brother, king over Judah and Jerusalem.

Disperse the rage of your wrath; Look on everyone [who is] proud, and humble him.

Look on everyone [who is] proud, [and] bring him low; Tread down the wicked in their place.

Pride [goes] before destruction, And a haughty spirit before a fall.

A man's pride will bring him low, But the humble in spirit will retain honor.

The lofty looks of man shall be humbled, The haughtiness of men shall be bowed down, And the LORD alone shall be exalted in that day.

For the day of the LORD of hosts [Shall come] upon everything proud and lofty, Upon everything lifted up -- And it shall be brought low --

Now I, Nebuchadnezzar, praise and extol and honor the King of heaven, all of whose works [are] truth, and His ways justice. And those who walk in pride He is able to put down.

"For whoever exalts himself will be humbled, and he who humbles himself will be exalted."

Then Joash the king of Israel captured Amaziah king of Judah, the son of Joash, the son of Jehoahaz, at Beth Shemesh; and he brought him to Jerusalem, and broke down the wall of Jerusalem from the Gate of Ephraim to the Corner Gate -- four hundred cubits.

And [he took] all the gold and silver, all the articles that were found in the house of God with Obed-Edom, the treasures of the king's house, and hostages, and returned to Samaria.

Then the people went out and brought [them] and made themselves booths, each one on the roof of his house, or in their courtyards or the courts of the house of God, and in the open square of the Water Gate and in the open square of the Gate of Ephraim.

and above the Gate of Ephraim, above the Old Gate, above the Fish Gate, the Tower of Hananel, the Tower of the Hundred, as far as the Sheep Gate; and they stopped by the Gate of the Prison.

" Behold, the days are coming, says the LORD, that the city shall be built for the LORD from the Tower of Hananel to the Corner Gate.

All the land shall be turned into a plain from Geba to Rimmon south of Jerusalem. Jerusalem shall be raised up and inhabited in her place from Benjamin's Gate to the place of the First Gate and the Corner Gate, and [from] the Tower of Hananeel to the king's winepresses.
