Then he commanded them, saying, "This [is] what you shall do: One-third of you who come on duty on the Sabbath shall be keeping watch over the king's house,

"one-third [shall be] at the king's house; and one-third at the Gate of the Foundation. All the people [shall be] in the courts of the house of the LORD.

And he set the gatekeepers at the gates of the house of the LORD, so that no one [who was] in any way unclean should enter.

"Go immediately to King David and say to him, 'Did you not, my lord, O king, swear to your maidservant, saying, "Assuredly your son Solomon shall reign after me, and he shall sit on my throne"? Why then has Adonijah become king?'

Then Solomon sat on the throne of the LORD as king instead of David his father, and prospered; and all Israel obeyed him.

"then shall enter the gates of this city kings and princes sitting on the throne of David, riding in chariots and on horses, they and their princes, accompanied by the men of Judah and the inhabitants of Jerusalem; and this city shall remain forever.

"For if you indeed do this thing, then shall enter the gates of this house, riding on horses and in chariots, accompanied by servants and people, kings who sit on the throne of David.

Thus says the LORD: 'Write this man down as childless, A man [who] shall not prosper in his days; For none of his descendants shall prosper, Sitting on the throne of David, And ruling anymore in Judah.' "

So Jesus said to them, "Assuredly I say to you, that in the regeneration, when the Son of Man sits on the throne of His glory, you who have followed Me will also sit on twelve thrones, judging the twelve tribes of Israel.

" When the Son of Man comes in His glory, and all the holy angels with Him, then He will sit on the throne of His glory.
