So the priest said, "The sword of Goliath the Philistine, whom you killed in the Valley of Elah, there it is, wrapped in a cloth behind the ephod. If you will take that, take [it.] For [there is] no other except that one here." And David said, "[There is] none like it; give it to me."

And David took the shields of gold that had belonged to the servants of Hadadezer, and brought them to Jerusalem.

This Shelomith and his brethren [were] over all the treasuries of the dedicated things which King David and the heads of fathers' [houses,] the captains over thousands and hundreds, and the captains of the army, had dedicated.

Some of the spoils won in battles they dedicated to maintain the house of the LORD.

So all the work that Solomon had done for the house of the LORD was finished; and Solomon brought in the things which his father David had dedicated: the silver and the gold and all the furnishings. And he put [them] in the treasuries of the house of God.

And Jehoiada the priest gave to the captains of hundreds the spears and the large and small shields which [had belonged] to King David, that [were] in the temple of God.

Then he set all the people, every man with his weapon in his hand, from the right side of the temple to the left side of the temple, along by the altar and by the temple, all around the king.
