It stood on twelve oxen: three looking toward the north, three looking toward the west, three looking toward the south, and three looking toward the east; the Sea [was set] upon them, and all their back parts [pointed] inward.

Then he set the cherubim inside the inner room; and they stretched out the wings of the cherubim so that the wing of the one touched [one] wall, and the wing of the other cherub touched the other wall. And their wings touched each other in the middle of the room.

As for the likeness of their faces, [each] had the face of a man; each of the four had the face of a lion on the right side, each of the four had the face of an ox on the left side, and each of the four had the face of an eagle.

Each one had four faces: the first face [was] the face of a cherub, the second face the face of a man, the third the face of a lion, and the fourth the face of an eagle.

And [it was] made with cherubim and palm trees, a palm tree between cherub and cherub. [Each] cherub had two faces,

so that the face of a man [was] toward a palm tree on one side, and the face of a young lion toward a palm tree on the other side; thus [it was] made throughout the temple all around.

For I [will be] like a lion to Ephraim, And like a young lion to the house of Judah. I, [even] I, will tear [them] and go away; I will take [them] away, and no one shall rescue.

Before the throne [there was] a sea of glass, like crystal. And in the midst of the throne, and around the throne, [were] four living creatures full of eyes in front and in back.

The first living creature [was] like a lion, the second living creature like a calf, the third living creature had a face like a man, and the fourth living creature [was] like a flying eagle.

But one of the elders said to me, "Do not weep. Behold, the Lion of the tribe of Judah, the Root of David, has prevailed to open the scroll and to loose its seven seals."

So He drove out the man; and He placed cherubim at the east of the garden of Eden, and a flaming sword which turned every way, to guard the way to the tree of life.

"And you shall make two cherubim of gold; of hammered work you shall make them at the two ends of the mercy seat.

He made two cherubim of beaten gold; he made them of one piece at the two ends of the mercy seat:

and above it were the cherubim of glory overshadowing the mercy seat. Of these things we cannot now speak in detail.

you also, as living stones, are being built up a spiritual house, a holy priesthood, to offer up spiritual sacrifices acceptable to God through Jesus Christ.
