"For I have known him, in order that he may command his children and his household after him, that they keep the way of the LORD, to do righteousness and justice, that the LORD may bring to Abraham what He has spoken to him."

" Then it shall come to pass, because you listen to these judgments, and keep and do them, that the LORD your God will keep with you the covenant and the mercy which He swore to your fathers.

" As for you, my son Solomon, know the God of your father, and serve Him with a loyal heart and with a willing mind; for the LORD searches all hearts and understands all the intent of the thoughts. If you seek Him, He will be found by you; but if you forsake Him, He will cast you off forever.

" As the Father loved Me, I also have loved you; abide in My love.

"If you keep My commandments, you will abide in My love, just as I have kept My Father's commandments and abide in His love.

But you, beloved, building yourselves up on your most holy faith, praying in the Holy Spirit,

keep yourselves in the love of God, looking for the mercy of our Lord Jesus Christ unto eternal life.

Now to Him who is able to keep you from stumbling, And to present [you] faultless Before the presence of His glory with exceeding joy,

"since the time that I commanded judges [to be] over My people Israel, and have caused you to rest from all your enemies. Also the LORD tells you that He will make you a house.

"He shall build a house for My name, and I will establish the throne of his kingdom forever.

"But My mercy shall not depart from him, as I took [it] from Saul, whom I removed from before you.

"And it shall be, when your days are fulfilled, when you must go [to be] with your fathers, that I will set up your seed after you, who will be of your sons; and I will establish his kingdom.

"I will be his Father, and he shall be My son; and I will not take My mercy away from him, as I took [it] from [him] who was before you.

According to all these words and according to all this vision, so Nathan spoke to David.

'Behold, a son shall be born to you, who shall be a man of rest; and I will give him rest from all his enemies all around. His name shall be Solomon, for I will give peace and quietness to Israel in his days.

"Now, my son, may the LORD be with you; and may you prosper, and build the house of the LORD your God, as He has said to you.

"And of all my sons (for the LORD has given me many sons) He has chosen my son Solomon to sit on the throne of the kingdom of the LORD over Israel.

'Moreover I will establish his kingdom forever, if he is steadfast to observe My commandments and My judgments, as it is this day.'

His seed also I will make [to endure] forever, And his throne as the days of heaven.

If they break My statutes And do not keep My commandments,

Nevertheless My lovingkindness I will not utterly take from him, Nor allow My faithfulness to fail.

Once I have sworn by My holiness; I will not lie to David:

It shall be established forever like the moon, Even [like] the faithful witness in the sky." Selah

The LORD has sworn [in] truth to David; He will not turn from it: "I will set upon your throne the fruit of your body.

If your sons will keep My covenant And My testimony which I shall teach them, Their sons also shall sit upon your throne forevermore."

And Solomon loved the LORD, walking in the statutes of his father David, except that he sacrificed and burned incense at the high places.

"So if you walk in My ways, to keep My statutes and My commandments, as your father David walked, then I will lengthen your days."

and he said: "LORD God of Israel, [there is] no God in heaven above or on earth below like You, who keep [Your] covenant and mercy with Your servants who walk before You with all their hearts.

When Abram was ninety-nine years old, the LORD appeared to Abram and said to him, "I [am] Almighty God; walk before Me and be blameless.

' If you walk in My statutes and keep My commandments, and perform them,

"Remember now, O LORD, I pray, how I have walked before You in truth and with a loyal heart, and have done [what was] good in Your sight." And Hezekiah wept bitterly.

Then the king stood by a pillar and made a covenant before the LORD, to follow the LORD and to keep His commandments and His testimonies and His statutes, with all [his] heart and all [his] soul, to perform the words of this covenant that were written in this book. And all the people took a stand for the covenant.

Now before him there was no king like him, who turned to the LORD with all his heart, with all his soul, and with all his might, according to all the Law of Moses; nor after him did [any] arise like him.

Now the LORD was with Jehoshaphat, because he walked in the former ways of his father David; he did not seek the Baals,

And they were both righteous before God, walking in all the commandments and ordinances of the Lord blameless.

"You shall love the LORD your God with all your heart, with all your soul, and with all your strength.

" And now, Israel, what does the LORD your God require of you, but to fear the LORD your God, to walk in all His ways and to love Him, to serve the LORD your God with all your heart and with all your soul,

' And it shall be that if you earnestly obey My commandments which I command you today, to love the LORD your God and serve Him with all your heart and with all your soul,

Jesus said to him, " 'You shall love the LORD your God with all your heart, with all your soul, and with all your mind.'

"Therefore, LORD God of Israel, now keep what You promised Your servant David my father, saying, 'You shall not fail to have a man sit before Me on the throne of Israel, only if your sons take heed to their way, that they walk before Me as you have walked before Me.'

" When your days are fulfilled and you rest with your fathers, I will set up your seed after you, who will come from your body, and I will establish his kingdom.

"He shall build a house for My name, and I will establish the throne of his kingdom forever.

"And your house and your kingdom shall be established forever before you. Your throne shall be established forever." ' "

For evildoers shall be cut off; But those who wait on the LORD, They shall inherit the earth.

For [those] blessed by Him shall inherit the earth, But [those] cursed by Him shall be cut off.

For I will gather all the nations to battle against Jerusalem; The city shall be taken, The houses rifled, And the women ravished. Half of the city shall go into captivity, But the remnant of the people shall not be cut off from the city.
