Now it happened at that time, when Jeroboam went out of Jerusalem, that the prophet Ahijah the Shilonite met him on the way; and he had clothed himself with a new garment, and the two [were] alone in the field.

So they said to him, "A man came up to meet us, and said to us, 'Go, return to the king who sent you, and say to him, "Thus says the LORD: '[Is it] because [there is] no God in Israel [that] you are sending to inquire of Baal-Zebub, the god of Ekron? Therefore you shall not come down from the bed to which you have gone up, but you shall surely die.' " ' "

So they answered him, "A hairy man wearing a leather belt around his waist." And he said, "It [is] Elijah the Tishbite."

And John himself was clothed in camel's hair, with a leather belt around his waist; and his food was locusts and wild honey.

"But what did you go out to see? A man clothed in soft garments? Indeed, those who wear soft [clothing] are in kings' houses.

So he lifted his eyes and looked, and behold, three men were standing by him; and when he saw [them,] he ran from the tent door to meet them, and bowed himself to the ground,

Then his brothers also went and fell down before his face, and they said, "Behold, we [are] your servants."

As soon as the lad had gone, David arose from [a] place toward the south, fell on his face to the ground, and bowed down three times. And they kissed one another; and they wept together, but David more so.

Then a ferryboat went across to carry over the king's household, and to do what he thought good. Now Shimei the son of Gera fell down before the king when he had crossed the Jordan.

Also the sons of those who afflicted you Shall come bowing to you, And all those who despised you shall fall prostrate at the soles of your feet; And they shall call you The City of the LORD, Zion of the Holy One of Israel.

Therefore Sarah laughed within herself, saying, "After I have grown old, shall I have pleasure, my lord being old also?"

Then Judah said, "What shall we say to my lord? What shall we speak? Or how shall we clear ourselves? God has found out the iniquity of your servants; here we are, my lord's slaves, both we and [he] also with whom the cup was found."

"And we said to my lord, 'We have a father, an old man, and a child of [his] old age, [who is] young; his brother is dead, and he alone is left of his mother's children, and his father loves him.'

"Now therefore, please let your servant remain instead of the lad as a slave to my lord, and let the lad go up with his brothers.

So Aaron said to Moses, "Oh, my lord! Please do not lay [this] sin on us, in which we have done foolishly and in which we have sinned.
