"O our God, will You not judge them? For we have no power against this great multitude that is coming against us; nor do we know what to do, but our eyes [are] upon You."

My eyes [are] ever toward the LORD, For He shall pluck my feet out of the net.

Behold, as the eyes of servants [look] to the hand of their masters, As the eyes of a maid to the hand of her mistress, So our eyes [look] to the LORD our God, Until He has mercy on us.

For behold, the stone That I have laid before Joshua: Upon the stone [are] seven eyes. Behold, I will engrave its inscription,' Says the LORD of hosts, 'And I will remove the iniquity of that land in one day.

"The Spirit of the LORD spoke by me, And His word [was] on my tongue.

"but the word of the LORD came to me, saying, 'You have shed much blood and have made great wars; you shall not build a house for My name, because you have shed much blood on the earth in My sight.

'He shall build a house for My name, and he shall be My son, and I [will be] his Father; and I will establish the throne of his kingdom over Israel forever.'

"And of all my sons (for the LORD has given me many sons) He has chosen my son Solomon to sit on the throne of the kingdom of the LORD over Israel.

"Now He said to me, 'It is your son Solomon [who] shall build My house and My courts; for I have chosen him [to be] My son, and I will be his Father.

"Consider now, for the LORD has chosen you to build a house for the sanctuary; be strong, and do it."

Furthermore King David said to all the assembly: "My son Solomon, whom alone God has chosen, [is] young and inexperienced; and the work [is] great, because the temple [is] not for man but for the LORD God.
