Then the border went around from the top of the hill to the fountain of the water of Nephtoah, and extended to the cities of Mount Ephron. And the border went around to Baalah (which [is] Kirjath Jearim).

Then the border turned westward from Baalah to Mount Seir, passed along to the side of Mount Jearim on the north (which [is] Chesalon), went down to Beth Shemesh, and passed on to Timnah.

Kirjath Baal (which [is] Kirjath Jearim) and Rabbah: two cities with their villages.

Then the men of Kirjath Jearim came and took the ark of the LORD, and brought it into the house of Abinadab on the hill, and consecrated Eleazar his son to keep the ark of the LORD.

So David gathered all Israel together, from Shihor in Egypt to as far as the entrance of Hamath, to bring the ark of God from Kirjath Jearim.

And David and all Israel went up to Baalah, to Kirjath Jearim, which belonged to Judah, to bring up from there the ark of God the LORD, who dwells [between] the cherubim, where [His] name is proclaimed.

And the Israelite woman's son blasphemed the name [of the] [Lord] and cursed; and so they brought him to Moses. (His mother's name [was] Shelomith the daughter of Dibri, of the tribe of Dan.)

And the LORD spoke to Moses, saying,

"Then you shall speak to the children of Israel, saying: 'Whoever curses his God shall bear his sin.

[As for] our Redeemer, the LORD of hosts [is] His name, The Holy One of Israel.

For your Maker [is] your husband, The LORD of hosts [is] His name; And your Redeemer [is] the Holy One of Israel; He is called the God of the whole earth.

"And you shall make two cherubim of gold; of hammered work you shall make them at the two ends of the mercy seat.

"And the cherubim shall stretch out [their] wings above, covering the mercy seat with their wings, and they shall face one another; the faces of the cherubim [shall be] toward the mercy seat.

"And there I will meet with you, and I will speak with you from above the mercy seat, from between the two cherubim which [are] on the ark of the Testimony, about everything which I will give you in commandment to the children of Israel.

So the people sent to Shiloh, that they might bring from there the ark of the covenant of the LORD of hosts, who dwells [between] the cherubim. And the two sons of Eli, Hophni and Phinehas, [were] there with the ark of the covenant of God.

Then the priests brought in the ark of the covenant of the LORD to its place, into the inner sanctuary of the temple, to the Most Holy [Place,] under the wings of the cherubim.

For the cherubim spread [their] two wings over the place of the ark, and the cherubim overshadowed the ark and its poles.

To the Chief Musician. Set to "The Lillies." A Testimony of Asaph. A Psalm. Give ear, O Shepherd of Israel, You who lead Joseph like a flock; You who dwell [between] the cherubim, shine forth!

To them it was revealed that, not to themselves, but to us they were ministering the things which now have been reported to you through those who have preached the gospel to you by the Holy Spirit sent from heaven -- things which angels desire to look into.
