While he was still speaking, there came Jonathan, the son of Abiathar the priest. And Adonijah said to him, "Come in, for you [are] a prominent man, and bring good news."

Like the cold of snow in time of harvest [Is] a faithful messenger to those who send him, For he refreshes the soul of his masters.

[As] cold water to a weary soul, So [is] good news from a far country.

How beautiful upon the mountains Are the feet of him who brings good news, Who proclaims peace, Who brings glad tidings of good [things,] Who proclaims salvation, Who says to Zion, "Your God reigns!"

And how shall they preach unless they are sent? As it is written: "How beautiful are the feet of those who preach the gospel of peace, Who bring glad tidings of good things!"
