Then he said: "Cursed [be] Canaan; A servant of servants He shall be to his brethren."

The sons of Ham [were] Cush, Mizraim, Put, and Canaan.

And the border of the Canaanites was from Sidon as you go toward Gerar, as far as Gaza; then as you go toward Sodom, Gomorrah, Admah, and Zeboiim, as far as Lasha.

"The beauty of Israel is slain on your high places! How the mighty have fallen!

For they do not speak peace, But they devise deceitful matters Against [the] quiet ones in the land.

Let them be confounded because of their shame, Who say to me, "Aha, aha!"

Let them be turned back because of their shame, Who say, "Aha, aha!"

Debate your case with your neighbor, And do not disclose the secret to another;

The eye [that] mocks [his] father, And scorns obedience to [his] mother, The ravens of the valley will pick it out, And the young eagles will eat it.

But you should not have gazed on the day of your brother In the day of his captivity; Nor should you have rejoiced over the children of Judah In the day of their destruction; Nor should you have spoken proudly In the day of distress.

You should not have entered the gate of My people In the day of their calamity. Indeed, you should not have gazed on their affliction In the day of their calamity, Nor laid [hands] on their substance In the day of their calamity.

" Moreover if your brother sins against you, go and tell him his fault between you and him alone. If he hears you, you have gained your brother.

does not rejoice in iniquity, but rejoices in the truth;

Brethren, if a man is overtaken in any trespass, you who [are] spiritual restore such a one in a spirit of gentleness, considering yourself lest you also be tempted.
