Who can bring a clean [thing] out of an unclean? No one!

"What [is] man, that he could be pure? And [he who is] born of a woman, that he could be righteous?

How much less man, [who is] abominable and filthy, Who drinks iniquity like water!

How then can man be righteous before God? Or how can he be pure [who is] born of a woman?

The LORD looks down from heaven upon the children of men, To see if there are any who understand, who seek God.

They have all turned aside, They have together become corrupt; [There is] none who does good, No, not one.

Behold, I was brought forth in iniquity, And in sin my mother conceived me.

And the angel answered and said to her, "[The] Holy Spirit will come upon you, and the power of the Highest will overshadow you; therefore, also, that Holy One who is to be born will be called the Son of God.

"That which is born of the flesh is flesh, and that which is born of the Spirit is spirit.

Therefore, just as through one man sin entered the world, and death through sin, and thus death spread to all men, because all sinned --

All flesh [is] not the same flesh, but [there is] one [kind of] flesh of men, another flesh of animals, another of fish, [and] another of birds.

among whom also we all once conducted ourselves in the lusts of our flesh, fulfilling the desires of the flesh and of the mind, and were by nature children of wrath, just as the others.

And Adam knew his wife again, and she bore a son and named him Seth, "For God has appointed another seed for me instead of Abel, whom Cain killed."
