Now when Rachel saw that she bore Jacob no children, Rachel envied her sister, and said to Jacob, "Give me children, or else I die!"

And about the time of her death the women who stood by her said to her, "Do not fear, for you have borne a son." But she did not answer, nor did she regard [it.]

Then she named the child Ichabod, saying, "The glory has departed from Israel!" because the ark of God had been captured and because of her father-in-law and her husband.

For You will not leave my soul in Sheol, Nor will You allow Your Holy One to see corruption.

'And they shall take [some] of the blood and put [it] on the two doorposts and on the lintel of the houses where they eat it.

They say to their mothers, "Where [is] grain and wine?" As they swoon like the wounded In the streets of the city, As their life is poured out In their mothers' bosom.

"But God said to him, 'Fool! This night your soul will be required of you; then whose will those things be which you have provided?'

And when Jesus had cried out with a loud voice, He said, "Father, 'into Your hands I commit My spirit.' " Having said this, He breathed His last.

And they stoned Stephen as he was calling on [God] and saying, "Lord Jesus, receive my spirit."

Now Jabez was more honorable than his brothers, and his mother called his name Jabez, saying, "Because I bore [him] in pain."

But Jacob did not send Joseph's brother Benjamin with his brothers, for he said, "Lest some calamity befall him."

But he said, "My son shall not go down with you, for his brother is dead, and he is left alone. If any calamity should befall him along the way in which you go, then you would bring down my gray hair with sorrow to the grave."

"And may God Almighty give you mercy before the man, that he may release your other brother and Benjamin. If I am bereaved, I am bereaved!"

"Then your servant my father said to us, 'You know that my wife bore me two sons;

'But if you take this one also from me, and calamity befalls him, you shall bring down my gray hair with sorrow to the grave.'

"it will happen, when he sees that the lad [is] not [with us,] that he will die. So your servants will bring down the gray hair of your servant our father with sorrow to the grave.

Let Your hand be upon the man of Your right hand, Upon the son of man [whom] You made strong for Yourself.
