To the Chief Musician. With stringed instruments. A Psalm of David. Hear me when I call, O God of my righteousness! You have relieved me in [my] distress; Have mercy on me, and hear my prayer.

He also brought me out into a broad place; He delivered me because He delighted in me.

I called on the LORD in distress; The LORD answered me [and set me] in a broad place.

"I will make you exceedingly fruitful; and I will make nations of you, and kings shall come from you.

"May God Almighty bless you, And make you fruitful and multiply you, That you may be an assembly of peoples;

And the name of the second he called Ephraim: "For God has caused me to be fruitful in the land of my affliction."

But the children of Israel were fruitful and increased abundantly, multiplied and grew exceedingly mighty; and the land was filled with them.
