But yet a tenth [will be] in it, And will return and be for consuming, As a terebinth tree or as an oak, Whose stump [remains] when it is cut down. So the holy seed [shall be] its stump."

For though your people, O Israel, be as the sand of the sea, A remnant of them will return; The destruction decreed shall overflow with righteousness.

In that day Israel will be one of three with Egypt and Assyria -- a blessing in the midst of the land,

Thus says the LORD: "As the new wine is found in the cluster, And [one] says, 'Do not destroy it, For a blessing [is] in it,' So will I do for My servants' sake, That I may not destroy them all.

"Run to and fro through the streets of Jerusalem; See now and know; And seek in her open places If you can find a man, If there is [anyone] who executes judgment, Who seeks the truth, And I will pardon her.

"So I sought for a man among them who would make a wall, and stand in the gap before Me on behalf of the land, that I should not destroy it; but I found no one.

"And unless those days were shortened, no flesh would be saved; but for the elect's sake those days will be shortened.
