But [it is] good for me to draw near to God; I have put my trust in the Lord GOD, That I may declare all Your works.

Their nobles shall be from among them, And their governor shall come from their midst; Then I will cause him to draw near, And he shall approach Me; For who [is] this who pledged his heart to approach Me?' says the LORD.

let us draw near with a true heart in full assurance of faith, having our hearts sprinkled from an evil conscience and our bodies washed with pure water.

Elijah was a man with a nature like ours, and he prayed earnestly that it would not rain; and it did not rain on the land for three years and six months.

"Far be it from You to do such a thing as this, to slay the righteous with the wicked, so that the righteous should be as the wicked; far be it from You! Shall not the Judge of all the earth do right?"

But Abimelech had not come near her; and he said, "Lord, will You slay a righteous nation also?

Then they fell on their faces, and said, "O God, the God of the spirits of all flesh, shall one man sin, and You be angry with all the congregation?"

Then David spoke to the LORD when he saw the angel who was striking the people, and said, "Surely I have sinned, and I have done wickedly; but these sheep, what have they done? Let Your hand, I pray, be against me and against my father's house."

Does God subvert judgment? Or does the Almighty pervert justice?

Should one who hates justice govern? Will you condemn [Him who is] most just?

The LORD [is] in His holy temple, The LORD's throne [is] in heaven; His eyes behold, His eyelids test the sons of men.

Upon the wicked He will rain coals; Fire and brimstone and a burning wind [Shall be] the portion of their cup.

But if our unrighteousness demonstrates the righteousness of God, what shall we say? [Is] God unjust who inflicts wrath? (I speak as a man.)

Certainly not! For then how will God judge the world?
