Then Zipporah took a sharp stone and cut off the foreskin of her son and cast [it] at [Moses'] feet, and said, "Surely you [are] a husband of blood to me!"

So Joshua made flint knives for himself, and circumcised the sons of Israel at the hill of the foreskins.

Then Saul said, "Thus you shall say to David: 'The king does not desire any dowry but one hundred foreskins of the Philistines, to take vengeance on the king's enemies.' " But Saul thought to make David fall by the hand of the Philistines.

therefore David arose and went, he and his men, and killed two hundred men of the Philistines. And David brought their foreskins, and they gave them in full count to the king, that he might become the king's son-in-law. Then Saul gave him Michal his daughter as a wife.

So David sent messengers to Ishbosheth, Saul's son, saying, "Give [me] my wife Michal, whom I betrothed to myself for a hundred foreskins of the Philistines."

"Then He gave him the covenant of circumcision; and so [Abraham] begot Isaac and circumcised him on the eighth day; and Isaac [begot] Jacob, and Jacob [begot] the twelve patriarchs.

And he received the sign of circumcision, a seal of the righteousness of the faith which [he had while still] uncircumcised, that he might be the father of all those who believe, though they are uncircumcised, that righteousness might be imputed to them also,
