Now Sarai, Abram's wife, had borne him no [children.] And she had an Egyptian maidservant whose name was Hagar.

So he went in to Hagar, and she conceived. And when she saw that she had conceived, her mistress became despised in her eyes.

Bondservants, be obedient to those who are your masters according to the flesh, with fear and trembling, in sincerity of heart, as to Christ;

with goodwill doing service, as to the Lord, and not to men,

Let as many bondservants as are under the yoke count their own masters worthy of all honor, so that the name of God and [His] doctrine may not be blasphemed.

And those who have believing masters, let them not despise [them] because they are brethren, but rather serve [them] because those who are benefited are believers and beloved. Teach and exhort these things.

Then the LORD God called to Adam and said to him, "Where [are] you?"

And He said, "What have you done? The voice of your brother's blood cries out to Me from the ground.

If the spirit of the ruler rises against you, Do not leave your post; For conciliation pacifies great offenses.

Have you not brought this on yourself, In that you have forsaken the LORD your God When He led you in the way?

And now why take the road to Egypt, To drink the waters of Sihor? Or why take the road to Assyria, To drink the waters of the River?

"Now therefore, please, let my lord the king hear the words of his servant: If the LORD has stirred you up against me, let Him accept an offering. But if [it is] the children of men, [may] they [be] cursed before the LORD, for they have driven me out this day from sharing in the inheritance of the LORD, saying, 'Go, serve other gods.'
