And all the people said to Samuel, Pray for your servants to Jehovah your God, that we may not die; for we have added to all our sins this evil, to ask for a king for ourselves.
20
And Samuel said to the people, Do not fear. You have done all this evil; yet do not turn aside from following Jehovah, but serve Jehovah with all your heart.
21
And do not turn aside to go after vanities which cannot profit nor deliver, for they are nothing.
22
For Jehovah will not abandon His people, for His great name's sake, because Jehovah has undertaken to make you a people for Himself.

Moreover, as for me, far be it from me to sin against Jehovah to cease to pray for you; for I have taught you the good and the right way.
24
Only fear Jehovah, and serve Him in truth with all your heart; for consider what great things He has done for you.
Isaiah 37:4
It may be that Jehovah your God will hear the words of Rabshakeh, whom his master the king of Assyria has sent to reproach the living God, and will reprove the words which Jehovah your God has heard. Therefore, lift up your prayer for the remnant that is left.
