And David said to Abigail: Blessed is Jehovah the God of Israel, who sent you this day to meet me!

When commanders lead in Israel, when the people willingly offer themselves, bless Jehovah!

Jehovah lives! Blessed is my Rock! Exalted is God, the Rock of my salvation!

He delivers me from my enemies. You also lift me up above those rising against me; You deliver me from the violent man.

The righteous shall rejoice when he sees the vengeance; he shall wash his feet in the blood of the wicked.

And man shall say, Truly, there is a reward for the righteous; truly, there is a God who judges in the earth.

And after these things I heard a loud voice of a great multitude in Heaven, saying, Alleluia! Salvation and glory and honor and power unto the Lord our God!

And again they said, Alleluia! Her smoke rises up forever and ever!

for Jehovah will plead their case, and plunder the soul of those who plunder them.

O Lord, You have pleaded the case for my soul; You have redeemed my life.

You have seen all their vengeance, all their plots against me.

I will bear the indignation of Jehovah because I have sinned against Him, until He pleads my case and executes justice for me. He will bring me forth to the light; I shall see His righteousness.

Now therefore, my lord, as Jehovah lives and as your soul lives, since Jehovah has held you back from coming to blood and from delivering yourself with your own hand, now then, let your enemies and those who seek evil upon my lord be as Nabal.

For indeed, as Jehovah the God of Israel lives, who has kept me back from hurting you, unless you had hastened and come to meet me, surely by morning light there would not have been left to Nabal any who urinate against a wall!

Therefore, behold, I will hedge up your way with thorns, and I will close off her wall, so that she shall not find her paths.

And she shall follow after her lovers, but she shall not reach to them. And she shall seek them, but shall not find them. Then she shall say, I will go and return to my first husband, for then it was better with me than now.

Now I pray to God that you do no evil, not that we should appear acceptable, but that you should do what is honorable, even though we may seem to be unacceptable.

Now may the God of peace Himself sanctify you completely; and may your whole spirit, soul, and body be preserved blameless at the coming of our Lord Jesus Christ.

And the Lord will deliver me from every evil work and keep me safe for His Heavenly kingdom. To Him be glory forever and ever. Amen.

And afterward, when David heard it, he said, My kingdom and I are guiltless before Jehovah forever of the blood of Abner the son of Ner.

May it whirl about on the head of Joab and on all his father's house; and let there never fail to be in the house of Joab one who has a discharge or is a leper, who leans on a staff or falls by the sword, or who lacks bread.

The king said moreover to Shimei, You know, as your heart acknowledges, all the evil that you did to my father David; therefore Jehovah shall return your evil upon your own head.

So they hanged Haman on the gallows that he had prepared for Mordecai. Then the king's wrath was pacified.

His trouble shall return upon his own head, and his violence shall come down upon his own crown.

He who finds a wife finds a good thing, and obtains favor from Jehovah.

Houses and riches are the inheritance from fathers, but a prudent wife is from Jehovah.

Who can find a woman of strength? For her value is far above rubies.

Charm is deceitful and beauty is fleeting, but a woman who fears Jehovah, she shall be praised.
