When you saw a thief, then you were pleased to be with him, and have been a partaker with adulterers.

You sit and speak against your brother; you slander your own mother's son.

For they eat the bread of wickedness, and drink the wine of violence.

Better is a dinner of vegetables where love is, than a fattened cow and hatred with it.

Better is a dry morsel with quietness, than a house full of sacrifices with strife.

With Jehovah, to do righteousness and justice is to be chosen over sacrifice.

The sacrifice of the wicked is an abomination; how much more when he brings it with wicked intent!

What good to Me are your many sacrifices, says Jehovah? I have had enough of burnt offerings of rams, and the fat of well-fed cattle; nor do I delight in the blood of bulls, of lambs, or he goats.

Bring no more vain sacrifices; its incense is an abomination to Me. I cannot endure the new moon and sabbath, the calling of assemblies, and the wicked festivals.
