And Samuel went no more to see Saul until the day of his death. Nevertheless Samuel mourned for Saul, and Jehovah was sorry that He had made Saul king over Israel.

And Jehovah regretted that He had made man on the earth, and He was grieved to His heart.

And when the Angel stretched out His hand over Jerusalem to destroy it, Jehovah was moved to compassion regarding the evil, and said to the Angel who was destroying the people, Enough! Now restrain your hand. And the Angel of Jehovah was by the threshing floor of Araunah the Jebusite.

Jehovah has sworn and will not regret it: You are a priest forever according to the order of Melchizedek.

The instant I shall speak concerning a nation, and concerning a kingdom, to pluck it up; or to pull it down, and to destroy it;

And the instant I shall speak concerning a nation, and concerning a kingdom, to build and plant it;

Jehovah was moved to compassion concerning this: It shall not be, says Jehovah.

And God saw their works, that they turned from their evil way. And God was moved to pity with regard to the evil that He had spoken to do to them, and He did not do it.

And he prayed to Jehovah, and said, Please, O Jehovah, was this not my word while I was still in my own country? On account of this, I fled to Tarshish before, for I knew that You are a gracious Mighty God and merciful, slow to anger, and of great kindness, and One who is moved to pity regarding inflicting evil.

Thus says the whole congregation of Jehovah: What treachery is this that you have committed against the God of Israel, to turn away this day from following Jehovah, in that you have built for yourselves an altar, that you might rebel this day against Jehovah?

But if you or your sons go back to turn away from after Me, and do not keep My commandments and My statutes which I have set before you, but go and serve other gods and bow down to them,

The words of his mouth are wickedness and deceit; he has left off acting wisely and doing good.

Yea, they turned back and tempted the Mighty God, and troubled the Holy One of Israel.

but turned back and acted unfaithfully like their fathers; they were turned aside like a deceitful bow.

As for such as turn aside to their crooked ways, Jehovah shall lead them away with the workers of iniquity. Peace be upon Israel!

and those drawing back from following Jehovah, and who have not sought Jehovah, nor inquired of Him.

But he who endures to the end shall be kept safe.

Now the just shall live by faith; but if anyone draws back, My soul is not pleased with him.

Now go and strike Amalek, and utterly destroy all that they have, and do not spare them. But kill both man and woman, infant and nursing child, ox and sheep, camel and donkey.

But Saul and the people spared Agag and the best of the sheep, the oxen, the fatlings, the lambs, and all that was good, and were unwilling to utterly destroy them. But everything despised and worthless, that they utterly destroyed.

And Samuel said to Saul, You have done foolishly. You have not kept the commandment of Jehovah your God, which He has commanded you. For now Jehovah would have established your kingdom over Israel forever.

And Samuel went no more to see Saul until the day of his death. Nevertheless Samuel mourned for Saul, and Jehovah was sorry that He had made Saul king over Israel.

And Jehovah said to Samuel, How long will you mourn for Saul, seeing I have rejected him from reigning over Israel? Fill your horn with oil, and go; I am sending you to Jesse the Bethlehemite. For I have provided Myself a king among his sons.

Rivers of water run down from my eyes, because they do not keep Your Law.

Oh that my head were waters, and my eyes a fountain of tears, that I might weep day and night for the slain of the daughter of my people!

and let them make haste and take up a lamentation for us, so that our eyes may run down with tears, and waters flow from our eyelids.

But if you will not hear it, my soul shall weep in secret places for your pride; and my eye shall weep and cry and run down with tears, because Jehovah's flock is taken captive.

And as He drew near, He saw the city and wept over it,

For days will come upon you when your enemies will build an embankment around you, surround you and besiege you on every side,

I tell the truth in Christ, I am not lying, my conscience also bearing witness with me in the Holy Spirit,

For I could wish that I myself were accursed from Christ on behalf of my brethren, my kinsmen according to the flesh,

Moreover, as for me, far be it from me to sin against Jehovah to cease to pray for you; for I have taught you the good and the right way.

In return for my love they are my adversaries, but I am in prayer.

But I say to you, Love your enemies, bless those who curse you, do good to those who hate you, and pray for those who abuse you and persecute you,

Now it came to pass in those days that He went out into the mountain to pray, and continued all night in prayer to God.
