I will set My face against you, and you shall be smitten by your enemies. Those who hate you shall reign over you, and you shall flee when no one pursues you.
Leviticus 26:36
And as for those of you who are left, I will send faintness into their hearts in the lands of their enemies; the sound of a driven leaf shall cause them to flee; they shall flee as though fleeing from a sword, and they shall fall when no one is pursuing.

Numbers 32:1-5

Now the sons of Reuben and the sons of Gad had a very great number of livestock; and when they saw the land of Jazer and the land of Gilead, that behold the place was a place for livestock,

the sons of Gad and the sons of Reuben came and spoke to Moses, to Eleazar the priest, and to the leaders of the congregation, saying,

Ataroth, Dibon, Jazer, Nimrah, Heshbon, Elealeh, Shebam, Nebo, and Beon,

the land which Jehovah has struck before the congregation of Israel, is a land for livestock, and your servants have livestock.
5
Therefore they said, If we have found favor in your eyes, let this land be given to your servants as a possession. Do not cause us to pass over the Jordan.
Numbers 32:33-42

And Moses gave to the sons of Gad, to the sons of Reuben, and to the half-tribe of Manasseh the son of Joseph, the kingdom of Sihon king of the Amorites and the kingdom of Og king of Bashan, the land with its cities within the borders, the cities of the surrounding land.

And the sons of Gad built Dibon and Ataroth and Aroer,
35
Atroth-shophan and Jazer and Jogbehah,
36
Beth Nimrah and Beth Haran, fortified cities, and folds for sheep.

And the sons of Reuben built Heshbon and Elealeh and Kirjathaim,

Nebo and Baal-meon (their names being changed) and Shibmah; and they gave other names to the cities which they built.

And the sons of Machir the son of Manasseh went to Gilead and captured it, and dispossessed the Amorites who were in it.

And Moses gave Gilead to Machir the son of Manasseh, and he dwelt in it.

And Jair the son of Manasseh went and captured its small towns, and called them Havoth-jair.

And Nobah went and captured Kenath and its villages, and he called it Nobah, after his own name.
Deuteronomy 3:12
And this land, which we possessed at that time, from Aroer by the River Arnon, and half the mountains of Gilead and its cities, I gave to the Reubenites and the Gadites.

Moses also gave to the tribe of Gad, to the sons of Gad according to their families.

Their territory was Jazer, and all the cities of Gilead, and half the land of the Ammonites as far as Aroer, which is before Rabbah,

and from Heshbon to Ramath Mizpah and Betonim, and from Mahanaim to the border of Debir,

and in the valley Beth Haram, Beth Nimrah, Succoth, and Zaphon, the rest of the kingdom of Sihon king of Heshbon, with the Jordan as its border, as far as the edge of the Sea of Chinnereth, on the other side of the Jordan eastward.

This is the inheritance of the sons of Gad according to their families, the cities and their villages.

Moses also gave to the half-tribe of Manasseh; it was for the half-tribe of the sons of Manasseh according to their families:

Their territory was from Mahanaim, all Bashan, all the kingdom of Og king of Bashan, and all the towns of Jair which are in Bashan, sixty cities;

half of Gilead, and Ashtaroth and Edrei, cities of the kingdom of Og in Bashan, were for the sons of Machir the son of Manasseh, for half of the sons of Machir according to their families.
