When the wicked, my enemies and my foes, came upon me to eat my flesh, they stumbled and fell.

Though an army should encamp against me, my heart shall not fear; though war should rise against me, in this I have confidence.

All the nations have surrounded me, but in the name of Jehovah I will destroy them.

They have surrounded me like bees. They have been quenched like a fire of thorns, for in the name of Jehovah I will destroy them.

Suffer evil, O people, and be broken! Give ear, all you from distant lands. Gird yourselves and be broken. Gird yourselves and be broken!

Take counsel and make plans, but they will be frustrated. Speak a word, but it shall not stand; for the Mighty God is with us.

Who shall separate us from the love of Christ? Shall affliction, or distress, or persecution, or famine, or nakedness, or peril, or sword?

Yet in all these things we more than conquer through Him who loves us.
