From the sons of Joseph, the sons of Ephraim, their genealogies by their families, by their fathers' house, according to the number of names, from twenty years old and above, all who were able to go to war:

For the sons of Joseph were two tribes: Manasseh and Ephraim. And they gave no portion to the Levites in the land, except cities to dwell in, with their common lands for their livestock and their property.

The lot of the sons of Joseph went from the Jordan, by Jericho, to the waters of Jericho on the east, to the wilderness that goes up from Jericho through the mountains to Bethel,
