Nevertheless I have this against you, that you have left your first love.

Behold, these women caused the sons of Israel, through the counsel of Balaam, to trespass against Jehovah in the matter of Peor, and there was a plague among the congregation of Jehovah.

Then Balak the son of Zippor, king of Moab, arose to make war against Israel, and sent and called Balaam the son of Beor to curse you.

They have forsaken the right way and gone astray, following the way of Balaam the son of Beor, who loved the wages of unrighteousness;

Woe to them! For they have gone in the way of Cain, have rushed out in the error of Balaam for profit, and perished in the rebellion of Korah.

And He shall say, Raise up! Raise up! Clear a path! Remove the stumbling block out of the way of My people.

Therefore thus says Jehovah, Behold, I will lay stumbling blocks before this people, and the fathers and the sons together shall stumble on them; the neighbor and his friend shall perish.

Again, when a righteous man turns from his righteousness and commits iniquity, and I lay a stumbling block before him, he shall die. Because you did not give him warning, he shall die in his sin, and his righteousness which he has done shall not be remembered; but his blood I will require at your hand.

And David says: Let their table become a snare and a trap, and a stumbling block and a recompense to them.

Therefore let us not judge one another anymore, but rather resolve this, not to put a stumbling block or a snare in our brother's way.

It is good not to eat flesh nor drink wine nor do anything by which your brother stumbles or is enticed to sin or is made weak.

For Moses has had throughout many generations those who preach him in every city, being read in the synagogues every Sabbath.

Therefore concerning the eating of things sacrificed to idols, we know that an idol is nothing in the world, and that there is no other God except one.

yet for us there is one God, the Father, of whom are all things, and we for Him; and one Lord Jesus Christ, through whom are all things, and we through Him.

But food does not commend us to God; for neither if we eat do we excel, nor if we do not eat are we lacking.

For if anyone sees you who have knowledge eating in an idol's temple, will not the conscience of him who is weak be emboldened to eat things offered to idols?

But when you sin in this way against the brethren, and wound their weak conscience, you sin against Christ.

Observe Israel after the flesh: Are not those who eat of the sacrifices partakers of the altar?

Rather, that the things which the Gentiles sacrifice they sacrifice to demons and not to God, and I do not want you to have fellowship with demons.

Or do we provoke the Lord to jealousy? Are we stronger than He?

Let no one seek his own, but each one the other's well-being.

for the earth is the Lord's, and all its fullness.

But if anyone says to you, This was offered to idols, do not eat it for the sake of the one who informed you, and because of conscience; for the earth is the Lord's, and all its fullness.

But if I partake by grace, why am I evil spoken of because of that for which I give thanks?

But the cowardly, unbelieving, abominable, murderers, prostitutes, sorcerers, idolaters, and all liars shall have their part in the lake which burns with fire and brimstone, which is the second death.

But outside are dogs and sorcerers and prostitutes and murderers and idolaters, and whoever loves and produces a lie.

Foods for the stomach and the stomach for foods, but God will destroy both it and them. Now the body is not for sexual perversion but for the Lord, and the Lord for the body.

Do you not know that your bodies are members of Christ? Shall I then take the members of Christ and make them members of a harlot? Let it not be!

But he who is joined to the Lord is one spirit.

Nevertheless, because of sexual perversion, let each have his own wife, and let each have her own husband.

Marriage is honorable in all, and the bed undefiled; but prostitutes and adulterers God will judge.
