John answered and said, A man can receive nothing unless it has been given to him from Heaven.

And God has placed some in the church: first apostles, second prophets, third teachers, after that works of power, then gifts of healing, helps, governings, tongues of nationalities.

And He Himself gave some to be apostles, some prophets, some evangelists, and some pastors and teachers,

But two men had remained in the camp: the name of one was Eldad, and the name of the other Medad. And the Spirit rested upon them. Now they were among those enrolled, but had not gone out to the tent; and they prophesied in the camp.

Whoever is deserving of death shall be put to death at the mouth of two or three witnesses; he shall not be put to death at the mouth of one witness.

One witness shall not rise up against a man concerning any iniquity or any sin that he sins; at the mouth of two or three witnesses the matter shall be established.

But if he will not hear, take with you one or two more, that by the mouth of two or three witnesses every word may be established.

This will be the third time I am coming to you. By the mouth of two or three witnesses every word shall be established.

And I saw thrones, and they sat on them, and judgment was committed to them; and I saw the souls of those who had been beheaded for their witness to Jesus and for the Word of God, who had not done homage to the beast or his image, and had not received his mark on their foreheads or on their hands. And they lived and reigned with Christ for a thousand years.

And you are witnesses of these things.

And you also will bear witness, because you are with Me from the beginning.

But you shall receive power when the Holy Spirit is come upon you; and you shall be witnesses to Me in Jerusalem, and in all Judea and Samaria, and to the ends of the earth.

This Jesus, God has raised up, of which we are all witnesses.

and killed the Prince of Life, whom God raised up from the dead, of which we are witnesses.

He was seen for many days by those who came up with Him from Galilee to Jerusalem, who are His witnesses to the people.

And I fell at his feet to do homage to him. But he said to me, Look out! No! I am your fellow servant, and of your brethren who have the testimony of Jesus. Do homage to God! For the testimony of Jesus is the spirit of prophecy.

But leave out the court which is outside the temple, and do not measure it, for it has been given to the Gentiles. And they will tread the holy city underfoot for forty-two months.

Then the woman fled into the wilderness, where she has a place prepared by God, that they should feed her there one thousand two hundred and sixty days.

And Jacob tore his clothes, put sackcloth on his loins, and mourned for his son many days.

And David lifted his eyes and saw the Angel of Jehovah standing between earth and the heavens, having in his hand a drawn sword stretched out over Jerusalem. And David and the elders, clothed in sackcloth, fell on their faces.

When Mordecai learned all that had happened, he tore his clothes and put on sackcloth and ashes, and went out into the midst of the city, and cried out with a loud and bitter cry.

He went as far as the front of the king's gate: for no one was to enter the king's gate clothed with sackcloth.

I have sewn sackcloth over my skin, and have thrust my horn into the dust.

And in that day Jehovah of Hosts called for weeping and mourning, and for baldness, and for girding with sackcloth.

The elders of the daughter of Zion sit upon the ground and are silent; they throw dust on their heads; they gird on sackcloth. The virgins of Jerusalem hang down their heads to the ground.

Jesus answered, Truly, truly, I say to you, Unless one is born of water and the Spirit, he is not able to enter into the kingdom of God.

Do not marvel that I said to you, You must be born from above.
