And when the dragon saw that he had been cast to the earth, he persecuted the woman who gave birth to the male Child.

And all who dwell on the earth will do homage to him, whose names have not been written in the Book of Life of the Lamb slain from the foundation of the world.

And he leads astray those who dwell on the earth by means of those signs which he was granted to do in the presence of the beast, telling those who dwell on the earth to make an image to the beast who was wounded by the sword and lived.

And you will be hated by everyone on account of My name. But he who endures to the end will be kept safe.

Now the rulers of the Philistines gathered together to offer a great sacrifice to Dagon their god, and to rejoice. And they said: Our god has delivered Samson our enemy into our hands!

And when the people saw him, they praised their god; for they said: Our god has delivered into our hands our enemy, the destroyer of our land, and the one who multiplied our dead.

lest my enemy say, I have prevailed against him, and those who oppress me rejoice when I am shaken.

Let not those who are my deceitful enemies rejoice over me, nor let those who hate me without cause wink with the eye.

Give judgment for me, O Jehovah my God, according to Your righteousness; and let them not rejoice over me.

Let them be ashamed and abashed together, those who rejoice over my adversity. Let them be clothed with shame and reproach who magnify themselves against me.

Therefore the Jews of the villages who dwelt in the unwalled towns made the fourteenth day of the month of Adar a day of gladness and feasting, as a good day, and for sending portions to one another.

to establish among them that they should celebrate yearly the fourteenth and fifteenth days of the month of Adar,

And if anyone tries to harm them, fire proceeds from their mouth and devours their enemies. And if anyone tries to harm them, he must be killed in this manner.

These have authority to shut the heavens, so that no rain falls in the days of their prophecy; and they have authority over waters to turn them to blood, and to strike the earth with every plague, as often as they desire.

And the fifth angel poured out his bowl onto the throne of the beast, and his kingdom became full of darkness; and they gnawed their tongues because of the pain.

And it happened, when Ahab saw Elijah, that Ahab said to him, Is that you, O troubler of Israel?

So Ahab said to Elijah, Have you found me, O my enemy? And he answered, I have found you, because you have sold yourself to do evil in the eyes of Jehovah:

And the king of Israel said to Jehoshaphat, There is yet one man, Micaiah the son of Imlah, by whom we may inquire of Jehovah; but I hate him, because he does not prophesy good concerning me, but evil. And Jehoshaphat said, Let not the king say so!

And the king of Israel said to Jehoshaphat, Did I not tell you he would not prophesy good concerning me, but evil?

Therefore the rulers said to the king, Please let this man be put to death. For in this way he weakens the hands of the men of war who remain in this city, and the hands of all the people, by speaking such words to them. For this man does not seek the welfare of this people, but their harm.

The world cannot hate you; but it hates Me because I bear witness of it that its works are evil.

When they heard this, they were cut to the heart and took counsel to do away with them.

When they heard these things they were cut to the heart, and they gnashed at him with their teeth.

and said, Behold, I see the Heavens opened and the Son of Man standing at the right hand of God.

But the Jews who were not persuaded, becoming envious, took some of the baser sort from the marketplace, and gathering a mob, set all the city in an uproar and came upon the house of Jason, and sought to bring them out to the people.

But when they did not find them, they dragged Jason and some brethren to the rulers of the city, crying out, These who have turned the world upside down have come here, too;
