For there are three that bear witness in Heaven: the Father, the Word, and the Holy Spirit; and these three are one.

This is He who came through water and blood; Jesus Christ; not only by water, but by water and blood. And it is the Spirit who bears witness, because the Spirit is truth.

The Spirit Himself bears witness with our spirit that we are children of God,

And suddenly there came a sound from Heaven, as being borne along by a rushing violent wind, and it filled the whole house where they were sitting.

And they were all filled with the Holy Spirit and began to speak in other tongues, as the Spirit gave them utterance.

who also has sealed us and given us the earnest of the Spirit in our hearts.

Therefore Jesus also, that He might sanctify the people with His own blood, suffered outside the gate.

There is also an antitype which now saves us; immersion (not the removal of the filth of the flesh, but the answer of a good conscience toward God), through the resurrection of Jesus Christ,

For many bore false witness against Him, but their testimonies were not the same.

And with this the words of the prophets agree, just as it is written:
