1
There is therefore now no condemnation to those who are in Christ Jesus, who do not walk according to the flesh, but according to the Spirit.
2
For the Law of the Spirit of life in Christ Jesus has set me free from the law of sin and death.
3
For what the Law could not do in that it was weak through the flesh, God did by sending His own Son in the likeness of sinful flesh; and on account of sin, He condemned sin in the flesh,
4
that the righteous requirement of the Law might be fulfilled in us, who do not walk according to the flesh but according to the Spirit.
5
For those who are according to the flesh set their minds on the things of the flesh, but those who are according to the Spirit, the things of the Spirit.
6
For to be carnally minded is death, but to be spiritually minded is life and peace.
7
Because the carnal mind is enmity against God; for it is not subject to the Law of God, nor indeed can be.
8
So then, those who are in the flesh are not able to please God.
9

11
But if the Spirit of Him who raised Jesus from the dead dwells in you, He who raised Christ from the dead will also make your mortal bodies alive through His Spirit who dwells in you.
12

The Spirit Himself bears witness with our spirit that we are children of God,
17
and if children, then heirs; heirs of God and joint heirs with Christ, if indeed we suffer with Him, that we may also be glorified together.
18
For I reckon that the sufferings of this present time are not worthy to be compared with the glory which shall be revealed unto us.
19
For the earnest expectation of the creation eagerly waits for the revealing of the sons of God.
20
For the creation was subjected to vanity, not willingly, but through Him who subjected it in hope;
21
because the creation itself also will be delivered from the bondage of corruption into the glorious liberty of the children of God.
22
For we know that the whole creation groans and travails together until now.
23
Not only that, but we also who have the firstfruits of the Spirit, even we ourselves groan within ourselves, eagerly waiting for the adoption, the redemption of our body.
24
For we were saved by hope, but hope that is seen is not hope; for why does one still hope for what he sees?
25
But if we hope for what we do not see, we eagerly wait for it with perseverance.
26
Likewise the Spirit also helps in our weaknesses. For we do not know what we should pray as we ought, but the Spirit Himself makes intercession for us with groanings which cannot be uttered.
27
Now He who searches the hearts knows what the mind of the Spirit is, because He makes intercession for the saints according to God.
28
And we know that all things work together for good to those who love God, to those who are the called according to His purpose.

For whom He foreknew, He also predestined to be conformed to the image of His Son, that He might be the firstborn among many brethren.
30
Moreover whom He predestined, these He also called; whom He called, these He also justified; and whom He justified, these He also glorified.
31
What then shall we say to these things? If God is for us, who can be against us?
32
He who did not spare His own Son, but delivered Him up for us all, how shall He not with Him also freely give us all things?
33
Who shall bring a charge against God's elect? It is God who justifies.

Who shall separate us from the love of Christ? Shall affliction, or distress, or persecution, or famine, or nakedness, or peril, or sword?
36
As it is written: For Your sake we are killed all day long; we are accounted as sheep for the slaughter.
37
Yet in all these things we more than conquer through Him who loves us.
38
For I am persuaded that neither death nor life, nor angels nor rulers nor powers, nor things present nor things to come,
39
nor height nor depth, nor any other created thing, shall be able to separate us from the love of God in Christ Jesus our Lord.
1 Corinthians 15:1-58
1
Moreover, brethren, I declare to you the gospel which I preached to you, which also you received and in which you stand,
2
by which also you are being kept safe, if you hold fast that Word which I preached to you; unless you believe in vain.
3
For I delivered to you first of all that which I also received: that Christ died for our sins according to the Scriptures,
4
and that He was buried, and that He was raised the third day according to the Scriptures,
5
and that He was seen by Cephas, then by the twelve.
6
After that He was seen by over five hundred brethren at once, of whom the greater part remain until the present time, but some have fallen asleep.
7
After that He was seen by Jacob, then by each of the apostles.
8
Then last of all He was seen by me also, as by one of untimely birth.
9
For I am the least of the apostles, who am not fit to be called an apostle, because I persecuted the church of God.
10
But by the grace of God I am what I am, and His grace toward me was not in vain; but I labored more abundantly than every one of them, yet not I, but the grace of God which was with me.

Therefore, whether it was I or they, so we preach and so you believe.

But if there is no resurrection of the dead, neither has Christ been raised.
14
And if Christ has not been raised, then our preaching is vain and your faith is also vain.
15
Yes, and we are found to be false witnesses of God, because we have testified of God that He raised up Christ, whom He did not raise up; if in fact the dead are not raised.
16
For if the dead are not raised, then Christ has not been raised.
17
And if Christ has not been raised, your faith is vain; you are still in your sins.
18
Then also those who have fallen asleep in Christ have perished.

25
For it is necessary for Him to reign till He has put every enemy under His feet.
26
The last enemy that will be destroyed is death.
27
For He has subjected everything under His feet. But when He says everything is subjected, it is evident that He who subjected everything under Him is exempt.
28
Now when everything is subjected to Him, then the Son Himself will also be subjected to Him who subjected everything under Him, that God may be everything in all things.
29
Otherwise, what will they do who are immersed for the dead, if the dead are not truly raised? Why then are they immersed for the dead?

36
Foolish one, what you sow is not made alive unless it dies.
37
And what you sow, you do not sow the body that shall be, but mere grain; perhaps wheat or something else.
38
But God gives it a body as He purposed, and to each seed its own body.

41
There is one brightness of the sun, another brightness of the moon, and another brightness of the stars; for one star differs from another star in brightness.
42
So also is the resurrection of the dead. It is sown in corruption, it is raised in incorruption.
43
It is sown in dishonor, it is raised in glory. It is sown in weakness, it is raised in power.
44
It is sown a natural body, it is raised a spiritual body. There is a natural body, and there is a spiritual body.
45
And so it is written, The first man Adam became a living soul; the last Adam a life- giving Spirit.
46
However, the spiritual is not first, but the natural, and afterward the spiritual.
47
The first man was out of the earth, of dust; the second Man is the Lord out of Heaven.
48
As is the man of dust, so also are those of dust; and as is the Man from Heaven, so also are those of Heaven.
49
And as we have borne the image of the man of dust, we shall also bear the image of the Man of Heaven.
50
Now this I say, brethren, that flesh and blood is not able to inherit the kingdom of God; nor does corruption inherit incorruption.
51
Behold, I tell you a mystery: We shall not all sleep, but we shall all be changed;
52
in a moment, in the twinkling of an eye, at the last trumpet. For the trumpet will sound, and the dead will be raised incorruptible, and we shall be changed.
53
For this corruptible needs to put on incorruption, and this mortal needs to put on immortality.
54
So when this corruptible has put on incorruption, and this mortal has put on immortality, then shall be brought to pass the saying that is written: Death is swallowed up in victory.
55
O Death, where is your sting? O Hades, where is your victory?
56
The sting of death is sin, and the strength of sin is the Law.
57
But thanks be to God, who gives us the victory through our Lord Jesus Christ.
58
Therefore, my beloved brethren, be steadfast, immovable, always abounding in the work of the Lord, knowing that your labor is not in vain in the Lord.

And the Angel of Jehovah spoke to Elijah the Tishbite, Arise, go up to meet the messengers of the king of Samaria, and say to them, Is it because there is no God in Israel that you are going to inquire of Baal-Zebub, the god of Ekron?
4
Now therefore, thus says Jehovah: You shall not come down from the bed on which you have gone up, but you shall die the death. And Elijah departed.
5
And when the messengers returned to him, he said to them, Why have you come back?
6
And they said to him, A man came up to meet us, and said to us, Go, return to the king who sent you, and say to him, Thus says Jehovah: Is it because there is no God in Israel that you are sending to inquire of Baal-Zebub, the god of Ekron? Therefore you shall not come down from the bed upon which you have gone up, but you shall die the death.

And Elijah answered and said to the commander of fifty, If I am a man of God, then let fire come down from the heavens and consume you and your fifty. And fire came down from the heavens and consumed him and his fifty.
11
Then he sent to him another commander of fifty with his fifty. And he answered and said to him: Man of God, thus has the king said, Come down quickly!
12
And Elijah answered and said to them, If I am a man of God, let fire come down from the heavens and consume you and your fifty. And the fire of God came down from the heavens and consumed him and his fifty.
13
Again, he sent a third commander of fifty with his fifty. And the third commander of fifty went up, and came and fell on his knees before Elijah, and implored him, and said to him: Man of God, please let my life and the life of these fifty servants of yours be precious in your eyes.
14
Behold, fire has come down from the heavens and burned up the first two commanders of fifties with their fifties. But let my life now be precious in your eyes.
15
And the Angel of Jehovah said to Elijah, Go down with him; do not be afraid of him. So he arose and went down with him to the king.
16
And he said to him, Thus says Jehovah: Because you have sent messengers to inquire of Baal-Zebub, the god of Ekron, is it because there is no God in Israel to inquire of His Word? Therefore you shall not come down from the bed upon which you have gone up, but you shall die the death.
17
So Ahaziah died according to the Word of Jehovah which Elijah had spoken. Because he had no son, Jehoram became king in his place, in the second year of Jehoram the son of Jehoshaphat, king of Judah.
