This they also did, and sent it to the elders by the hands of Barnabas and Saul.

So when they had appointed elders in every church, and prayed with fasting, they committed them to the Lord into whom they believed.

And when they had come to Jerusalem, they were received by the church and the apostles and the elders; and they reported all things that God had done with them.

And the apostles and elders came together to consider this matter.

Then it pleased the apostles and elders, with the whole church, to send chosen men of their own company to Antioch with Paul and Barnabas, namely, Judas who was also named Barsabas, and Silas, leading men among the brethren.

They wrote this letter by them: The apostles, the elders, and the brethren, to the brethren who are of the Gentiles in Antioch, Syria, and Cilicia: Greetings.

So, from Miletus he sent to Ephesus and called for the elders of the church.

Therefore take heed to yourselves and to all the flock, among which the Holy Spirit has made you overseers, to shepherd the church of God which He purchased with His own blood.

And on the following day Paul went in with us to Jacob, and all the elders were present.

To them it was revealed that, not to themselves, but to us they were ministering the things which now have been reported to you through those who have preached the gospel to you by the Holy Spirit sent from Heaven; things which angels desire to look into.

And you are witnesses of these things.

But when the Helper comes, whom I shall send to you from the Father, the Spirit of Truth who proceeds from the Father, He will bear witness concerning Me.

And you also will bear witness, because you are with Me from the beginning.

But you shall receive power when the Holy Spirit is come upon you; and you shall be witnesses to Me in Jerusalem, and in all Judea and Samaria, and to the ends of the earth.

beginning from the immersion of John until the day when He was taken up from us, it is necessary for one of these to become a witness with us of His resurrection.

This Jesus, God has raised up, of which we are all witnesses.

and killed the Prince of Life, whom God raised up from the dead, of which we are witnesses.

The God of our fathers raised up Jesus whom you laid hands on, hanging Him on a tree.

And we are His witnesses of these things, and so also is the Holy Spirit whom God has given to those who obey Him.

And we are witnesses of all things which He did both in the land of the Jews and in Jerusalem, whom they did away with, hanging Him on a tree.

not to all the people, but to witnesses chosen before by God, even to us who ate and drank with Him after He arose from the dead.

and when the Chief Shepherd appears, you will receive the crown of glory that does not fade away.

Blessed be the God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ, who according to His abundant mercy has begotten us again to a living hope through the resurrection of Jesus Christ from the dead,

who are kept by the power of God through faith unto salvation ready to be revealed in the last time.

You will lead me with Your counsel, and afterward receive me to glory.

Whom have I in Heaven besides You? And there is no one I desire on earth.

and if children, then heirs; heirs of God and joint heirs with Christ, if indeed we suffer with Him, that we may also be glorified together.

For I reckon that the sufferings of this present time are not worthy to be compared with the glory which shall be revealed unto us.

For we know that if our earthly house, this tent, is torn down, we have a building from God, a house not made with hands, eternal in Heaven.

We are confident, yes, preferring rather to be absent from the body and to be at home with the Lord.

For I know that this will turn out for my deliverance through your prayer and the supply of the Spirit of Jesus Christ,

For to me, to live is Christ, and to die is gain.

For I am hard pressed between the two, having a desire to depart and be with Christ, which is far better.

for you died, and your life is hidden with Christ in God.

When Christ who is our life is revealed, then you also will be revealed with Him in glory.

Hereafter, there is laid up for me the crown of righteousness, which the Lord, the righteous Judge, will give to me on that Day, and not to me only but also to all the ones loving His appearing.

Beloved, now we are children of God; and it has not yet been revealed what we shall be, but we know that when He is revealed, we shall be like Him, for we shall see Him as He is.

I, John, both your brother and companion in the affliction and kingdom and patience of Jesus Christ, was on the island that is called Patmos because of the Word of God and because of the testimony of Jesus Christ.
