Since you have purified your souls in obeying the truth through the Spirit unto sincere love of the brethren, love one another fervently out of a pure heart,

because All flesh is as grass, and all the glory of man as the flower of the grass. The grass withers, and its flower falls away,

that he no longer should live the rest of his time in the flesh in the lusts of men, but in the will of God.

In that day a man shall throw his idols of silver and gold, which they made each man to bow down to, to the moles and to the bats;

You shall also defile the covering of your graven images of silver, and the ornament of your molten images of gold. You shall cast them away like a menstruous cloth. You shall say to them, Get away!

Cast away from you all the transgressions by which you have transgressed, and prepare for yourselves a new heart and a new spirit; for why will you die, O house of Israel?

For I have no pleasure in the death of one who dies, declares the Lord Jehovah. Therefore turn and live!

The night is far spent, the day is at hand. Therefore let us cast off the works of darkness, and let us put on the armor of light.

and that you put on the new man which was created according to God, in true righteousness and holiness.

Therefore put to death your members which are on the earth: sexual perversion, uncleanness, passion, evil lusts, and covetousness, which is idolatry.

Therefore we also, since we are surrounded by so great a cloud of witnesses, let us lay aside every weight, and the sin which so persistently harasses us, and let us run with perseverance the race that is set before us,

Therefore lay aside all filthiness and overflow of wickedness, and receive with meekness the implanted Word, which has the power to save your souls.

Do not grumble against one another, brethren, that you not be condemned. Behold, the Judge stands at the door.

as free, yet not using liberty as a pretext for evil, but as bondservants of God.

Therefore let us keep the feast, not with old leaven, nor with the leaven of malice and wickedness, but with the unleavened bread of sincerity and truth.

Brethren, do not be children in understanding; however, in malice be infants, but in understanding be mature.

Let all bitterness, wrath, anger, clamor, and evil speaking be put away from you, with all wickedness.

For we ourselves were also once foolish, disobedient, led astray, enslaved to various lusts and pleasures, living in malice and envy, hateful and hating one another.

not by works of righteousness which we have done, but according to His mercy He saved us, through the washing of regeneration and renewing of the Holy Spirit,

Who committed no sin, nor was deceit found in His mouth;

For He who would love life and see good days, let him refrain his tongue from evil, and his lips from speaking deceit.

Blessed is the man to whom Jehovah does not impute iniquity, and in whose spirit there is no guile.

Keep your tongue from evil and your lips from speaking guile.

Jesus saw Nathanael coming toward Him, and said of him, Behold, an Israelite indeed, in whom is no deceit.

For our exhortation did not come from error or uncleanness, nor was it in deceit.

And in their mouth was found no deceit, for they are without blemish before the throne of God.

But the hypocrites in heart store up wrath; they do not cry for help when He has bound them.

Hypocrite! First remove the beam from your own eye, and then you will see clearly to remove the twig from your brother's eye.

Hypocrites! Well did Isaiah prophesy about you, saying:

Even so you also outwardly appear righteous to men, but inside you are full of hypocrisy and lawlessness.

and will cut him in two and appoint him his portion with the hypocrites. There shall be weeping and gnashing of teeth.

Shall we give, or shall we not give? But He, knowing their hypocrisy, said to them, Why do you test Me? Bring Me a denarius that I may see it.

Or how can you say to your brother, Brother, let me remove the twig that is in your eye, when you yourself do not see the beam that is in your own eye? Hypocrite! First remove the beam from your own eye, and then you will see clearly to remove the twig that is in your brother's eye.

Woe to you, scribes and Pharisees, hypocrites! For you are like graves which are not seen, and the men who walk over them are not aware of them.

In the meantime, when an innumerable multitude of people had gathered together, so that they trampled one another, He began to say to His disciples first of all, Beware of the leaven of the Pharisees, which is hypocrisy.

But the wisdom that is from above is first pure, then peaceable, fair, willing to yield, full of mercy and good fruits, without partiality and without hypocrisy.

And Saul was very furious, and the saying made his eyes quiver; and he said, They have ascribed to David ten thousands, and to me they have ascribed only thousands. Now what more can he have but the kingdom?

So Saul eyed David from that day forward.

For I was jealous of the boastful, when I saw the peace of the wicked.

Do not be envious of the violent man, and choose none of his ways;

A sound heart is life to the flesh, but envy is rottenness to the bones.

Do not be envious of evil men, nor desire to be with them.

Do not fret yourself because of evildoers, nor be envious of the wicked;

being filled with every unrighteousness, sexual perversion, wickedness, covetousness, maliciousness; full of envy, murder, strife, deceit, depravity; whisperers,

Let us walk decently, as in the day, not in carousings and drunkenness, not in cohabitation and licentiousness, not in strife and envy.

I fed you with milk and not with solid food; for until now you were not able, and even now you are still not able;

for you are still carnal. For where there are envy, strife, and divisions among you, are you not carnal and behaving like men?

For I fear lest, when I come, I shall not find you such as I wish, and that I shall be found by you such as you do not wish; lest there be contentions, jealousies, outbursts of wrath, selfish ambitions, evil speakings, whisperings, conceits, commotions;

envy, murders, drunkenness, revelries, and the like; of which I tell you beforehand, just as I also told you in time past, that those who practice such things will not inherit the kingdom of God.

meekness, self-control. Against such there is no law.

If we live in the Spirit, let us also walk in the Spirit.

But if you have bitter envy and contention in your hearts, do not boast and lie against the truth.

For where envy and contention exist, there is confusion and every evil deed.

Or do you think that the Scripture says in vain, The Spirit who dwells in us yearns to envy?

In this regard, they think it strange that you do not run with them in the same overflow of dissipation, blaspheming.

Let all bitterness, wrath, anger, clamor, and evil speaking be put away from you, with all wickedness.

But now you yourselves are to put off all these: anger, wrath, malice, blasphemy, filthy language out of your mouth.

Likewise women must be reverent, not slanderers, temperate, faithful in all things.

the older women likewise, that they be reverent in behavior, not slanderers, not given to much wine, teachers of good things;

Do not speak against one another, brethren. He who speaks against a brother and judges his brother, speaks against the Law and judges the Law. But if you judge the Law, you are not a doer of the Law, but a judge.
