Then the chief cupbearer spoke to Pharaoh, saying: I remember my offenses this day.

When Pharaoh was angry with his servants, and put me into custody in the house of the captain of the guard, both me and the chief baker,

And he said to the king, Do not let my lord impute iniquity to me, nor remember how your servant acted perversely on the day that my lord the king left Jerusalem, that the king should take it to heart.

and were immersed by him in the Jordan, confessing their sins.

Moreover if your brother sins against you, go and reprove him between you and him alone. If he hears you, you have gained your brother.

And if he refuses to hear them, tell it to the church. But if he refuses to hear the church, let him be to you like a foreigner and a tax collector.

So when he heard about Jesus, he sent elders of the Jews to Him, requesting Him to come and heal his servant.

And when they came to Jesus, they begged Him earnestly, saying that the one for whom He should do this was worthy,

And many who had believed came confessing and telling their deeds.

For this reason we also, since the day we heard it, do not cease to pray for you, and to ask that you may be filled with the full true knowledge of His will in all wisdom and spiritual understanding;

pray without ceasing,

Now may the God of peace Himself sanctify you completely; and may your whole spirit, soul, and body be preserved blameless at the coming of our Lord Jesus Christ.

Brethren, pray for us.

Pray for us; for we are confident that we have a good conscience, in all things desiring to live honorably.

So Abraham prayed to God; and God healed Abimelech, his wife, and his female servants. Then they gave birth;

And Jehovah gave heed to Hezekiah and healed the people.

So they departed and went through the towns, preaching the gospel and healing everywhere.

how God anointed Jesus of Nazareth with the Holy Spirit and with power, who went about doing good and healing all who were oppressed by the devil, for God was with Him.

And Abraham approached and said, Would You also sweep away the righteous with the wicked?

Far be it from You to do such a thing, to slay the righteous with the wicked, so that the righteous should be as the wicked; far be it from You! Shall not the Judge of all the earth do right?

Then Abraham answered and said, Behold now, I who am but dust and ashes have taken it upon myself to speak to the Lord:

And he spoke to Him yet again and said, Suppose there should be forty found there? And He said, I will not do it for the sake of forty.

And he said, Indeed now, I have taken it upon myself to speak to the Lord: Suppose twenty should be found there? And He said, I will not destroy it for the sake of twenty.

And it came to pass, when God destroyed the cities of the plain, that God remembered Abraham, and sent Lot out of the midst of the overthrow, when He overthrew the cities in which Lot had dwelt.

Now therefore, restore the man's wife; for he is a prophet, and he will pray for you and you shall live. But if you do not restore her, know that you shall die the death, you and all who are yours.

So Abraham prayed to God; and God healed Abimelech, his wife, and his female servants. Then they gave birth;

And He said, Your name shall no longer be called Jacob, but Israel; for you have persevered with God and with men, and have prevailed.

Entreat Jehovah, that there be no more Divine thundering and hail, for it is enough. I will let you go, and you shall stay no longer.

And Moses said to him, As soon as I have gone out of the city, I will spread out my hands to Jehovah. The thunder shall cease, and there shall be no more hail; that you may know that the earth is Jehovah's.

And Moses went out of the city from Pharaoh and spread out his hands to Jehovah. And the thunder and the hail ceased, and the rain was not poured upon the earth.

And so it was, when Moses held up his hand, that Israel prevailed; and when he let down his hand, Amalek prevailed.

Now therefore, let Me alone, that My wrath may burn against them, that I may consume them. And I will make of you a great nation.

Why should the Egyptians speak, and say, He brought them out to harm them, to kill them in the mountains, and to consume them from the face of the earth? Turn away from Your burning wrath, and have compassion regarding this evil to Your people.

And Jehovah was moved to compassion from the evil which He had spoken to do unto His people.

And the people cried out to Moses, and when Moses made intercession unto Jehovah, the fire was quenched.

And Moses said to Jehovah: Then the Egyptians will hear it (for by Your might You brought these people up from among them),

Now if You kill these people as one man, then the nations which have heard of Your fame will speak, saying,

And now, I beseech You, let the power of my Lord be great, just as You have spoken, saying,

Pardon the iniquity of this people, I pray, according to the greatness of Your mercy, just as You have borne this people, from Egypt even until now.

Therefore the people came to Moses, and said, We have sinned, for we have spoken against Jehovah and against you; intercede before Jehovah that He take away the serpents from us. So Moses interceded for the people.

And Moses made a bronze serpent, and put it on a pole; and so it was, if a serpent had bitten anyone, when he looked at the bronze serpent, he lived.

And I fell down before Jehovah, as at the first, forty days and forty nights; I neither ate bread nor drank water, because of all your sin which you had sinned in doing evil in the eyes of Jehovah, to provoke Him to anger.

And Jehovah was very angry with Aaron to have destroyed him; and I prayed for Aaron also at the same time.

Then Joshua spoke to Jehovah in the day when Jehovah delivered up the Amorites before the sons of Israel, and he said in the eyes of Israel: Sun, stand still over Gibeon; and Moon, in the valley of Aijalon.

So Samuel called unto Jehovah, and Jehovah sent thunder and rain that day; and all the people greatly feared Jehovah and Samuel.

And the king answered and said to the man of God, Please entreat the face of Jehovah your God, and pray for me, that my hand may be restored to me. So the man of God entreated Jehovah, and the king's hand was restored to him, and became as before.

So she said to Elijah, What have I to do with you, O man of God? Have you come to me to bring my iniquity to remembrance, and to kill my son?

And he cried out unto Jehovah and said, O Jehovah my God, have You also brought tragedy upon the widow woman who is showing me hospitality, by killing her son?

And Jehovah heeded the voice of Elijah; and the soul of the child came back into him, and he revived.

Then the woman said to Elijah, Now by this I know that you are a man of God, and that the Word of Jehovah in your mouth is truth.

So he went in, shut the door behind the two of them, and prayed unto Jehovah.

He returned and walked back and forth in the house, and again went up and stretched himself out on him; then the boy sneezed seven times, and the boy opened his eyes.

And Hezekiah prayed before Jehovah, and said: O Jehovah the God of Israel, the One who dwells between the cherubim, You are God, You alone, of all the kingdoms of the earth. You have made the heavens and earth.

Truly, Jehovah, the kings of Assyria have laid waste the nations and their lands,

Now therefore, O Jehovah our God, I pray, save us out of his hand, that all the kingdoms of the earth may know that You are Jehovah God, You alone.

And he turned his face toward the wall, and prayed to Jehovah, saying,

And it happened, before Isaiah had gone out into the middle court, that the Word of Jehovah came to him, saying,

And Asa cried out unto Jehovah his God, and said, Jehovah, it is nothing for You to help, whether with many or with those who have no strength; help us, O Jehovah our God, for we have trusted on You, and in Your name we go against this multitude. O Jehovah, You are our God; do not let man prevail against You.

So Jehovah struck the Ethiopians before Asa and Judah, and the Ethiopians fled.

Now because of this King Hezekiah and the prophet Isaiah, the son of Amoz, prayed and cried out to the heavens.

Thus Jehovah saved Hezekiah and the inhabitants of Jerusalem from the hand of Sennacherib the king of Assyria, and from the hand of all others, and guided them on every side.

Now therefore, take for yourselves seven bulls and seven rams, go to My servant Job, and offer up for yourselves a burnt offering; and My servant Job will pray for you; for I accept him; lest I deal with you according to your folly; because you have not spoken of Me what is right, as My servant Job has.

Jehovah, You have heard the desire of the lowly; You will prepare their heart, You will cause Your ear to hear,

to vindicate the fatherless and the oppressed, so that the man of the earth may terrify no more.

The eyes of Jehovah are upon the righteous, and His ears are open to their cry.

Jehovah is near to all who call upon Him, to all who call upon Him in truth.

He will fulfill the desire of those who fear Him; He also will hear their cry and save them.

The sacrifice of the wicked is an abomination to Jehovah, but the prayer of the upright is His delight.

Jehovah is far from the wicked, but He hears the prayer of the righteous.

He who turns away his ear from hearing the Law, even his prayer is an abomination.

Then Jehovah said to me, Though Moses and Samuel stood before Me, My soul could not be inclined toward this people. Send them out of My sight, and let them go out.

Then you shall call on Me, and you shall go and pray to Me, and I will listen to you.

And you shall seek Me and find Me, when you search for Me with all your heart.

Call unto Me, and I will answer you, and show you great and unfathomable things which you do not know.

that they might pray for the mercies of God in Heaven concerning this secret, that Daniel and his companions should not perish with the rest of the wise men of Babylon.

Daniel answered and said, Blessed be the name of God forever and ever, for wisdom and might are His.

He reveals the deep and secret things; He knows what is in the darkness, and light dwells in Him.

And while I was speaking and praying and confessing my sin and the sin of my people Israel, and prostrating with my supplication before Jehovah my God for the holy mountain of my God,

And he informed me and talked with me, and said, O Daniel, I have now come forth to give you skill in understanding.

He took his brother by the heel in the womb, and by his strength he contended with God.

Yes, he wept and pleaded with Him, and he contended with the Angel and prevailed. He found Him at Bethel, and He spoke with us there,

Ask, and it will be given to you; seek, and you will find; knock, and it will be opened to you.

Or what man is there among you who, if his son asks for bread, will give him a stone?

If you then, being evil, know how to give good gifts to your children, how much more will your Father in Heaven give good things to those who ask Him!

And whatever things you ask in prayer, believing, you will receive.

If a son asks for bread from any father among you, he will not give him a stone, will he? Or if he asks for a fish, he will not give him a serpent instead of a fish, will he?

If you then, being evil, know how to give good gifts to your children, how much more will the Heavenly Father give the Holy Spirit to those who ask Him.

Then He spoke a parable to them, that men always ought to pray and not faint,

And there was a widow in that city; and she came to him, saying, Avenge me from my adversary.

yet because this widow troubles me I will avenge her, that she not weary me by her continual coming.

And shall God not avenge His elect who cry out day and night to Him, as He is patient with them?

Now we know that God does not hear sinners; but if anyone reveres God and does His will, He hears him.

So when they heard that, they raised their voice to God with one accord and said: Lord, You are God, who made the heavens and earth and the sea, and all that is in them,

The kings of the earth took their stand, and the rulers themselves were gathered against the Lord and against His Christ.

to do whatever Your hand and Your purpose determined before to be done.

by stretching out Your hand to heal, and that signs and wonders may be done through the name of Your holy Son Jesus.

Peter was therefore kept in prison, but constant prayer was offered to God for him by the church.

And behold, the Angel of the Lord stood by him, and a light shone in the prison; and he struck Peter on the side and raised him up, saying, Arise quickly! And his chains fell off his hands.

So he went out and followed Him, and did not know that what was done through the Angel was real, but thought he was seeing a vision.

And when Peter had come to himself, he said, Now I know for certain that the Lord has sent His Angel, and has rescued me from the hand of Herod and from all the expectation of the Jewish people.

And whatever we ask we receive from Him, because we keep His commandments and do the things that are pleasing in His sight.

As it is written: There is none righteous, no, not one;

For as through one man's disobedience many were declared sinners, so also through one Man's obedience many will be declared righteous.

By faith Abel offered to God a more excellent sacrifice than Cain, through which he obtained witness that he was righteous, God testifying of his gifts; and through it he being dead still speaks.

By faith Noah, being divinely warned of things not yet seen, moved with fear, prepared an ark for the saving of his household, by which he condemned the world and became heir of the righteousness which is according to faith.
