But someone will say, You have faith, and I have works. Show me your faith without your works, and I will show you my faith from my works.

For in Christ Jesus neither circumcision nor uncircumcision avails anything, but faith working through love.

By faith Abraham, when he was tested, offered up Isaac, and he who had received the promises offered up his only begotten son,

reckoning that God had the power to raise him up, even from the dead, from which he also received him in a figurative sense.

But whoever keeps His Word, truly the love of God is perfected in him. By this we know that we are in Him.

Love has been perfected with us in this: that we may have confidence in the day of judgment; because as He is, so are we in this world.

There is no fear in love; but perfect love casts out fear, because fear involves punishment. But he who fears has not been made complete in love.
