Therefore, if perfection were through the Levitical priesthood (for under it the people received the Law), what further need was there that another priest should rise according to the order of Melchizedek, and not be called according to the order of Aaron?

Now this is the main point of the things being said: We have such a High Priest, who is seated at the right hand of the throne of the Majesty in the heavens,

Therefore it was necessary that the copies of the things in the heavens should be purified with these, but the Heavenly things themselves with better sacrifices than these.

not that He should offer Himself often, as the high priest enters the Holy of Holies every year with blood of others;

And every priest stands ministering daily and offering repeatedly the same sacrifices, which can never take away sins.

from that time onward waiting till His enemies are made His footstool.

But the Holy Spirit also witnesses to us; for after He had said before,

then He adds, Their sins and their lawless deeds I will remember no more.

Therefore, brethren, having boldness to enter the Holy of Holies by the blood of Jesus,

and having a High Priest over the house of God,

For it was fitting for Him, for whom are all things and by whom are all things, in bringing many sons to glory, to make the Author of their salvation complete through sufferings.

Was it not necessary for the Christ to suffer these things and to enter into His glory?

And He said to them, Thus it is written, and thus it was necessary for the Christ to suffer and to rise from the dead the third day,

For we do not have a High Priest who cannot sympathize with our weaknesses, but was in all points tempted as we are, yet without sin.

how much more shall the blood of Christ, who through the eternal Spirit offered Himself without blemish to God, cleanse your conscience from dead works to serve the living God.

but with the precious blood of Christ, as of a lamb without blemish and without spot.

Who committed no sin, nor was deceit found in His mouth;

And He Himself is the propitiation for our sins, and not for ours only but also for the whole world.

And you know that He was manifested in order to take away our sins, and in Him there is no sin.

And to the angel of the church in Philadelphia write, These things says He who is holy, He who is true, He who has the key of David, He who opens and no one shuts, and shuts and no one opens:

Who being the brightness of His glory and the express image of His essence, and upholding all things by the Word of His power, when He had by Himself made purification for our sins, sat down at the right hand of the Majesty on high,

Seeing then that we have a great High Priest who has passed through the heavens, Jesus the Son of God, let us hold fast our confession.

looking unto Jesus, the author and finisher of our faith, who for the joy that was set before Him endured the cross, despising the shame, and has sat down at the right hand of the throne of God.

For he knew that they had delivered Him over because of envy.

So then, after the Lord had spoken to them, He was taken up into Heaven, and sat down at the right hand of God.

which He worked in Christ when He raised Him from the dead and seated Him at His right hand in the heavenlies,

And He put all things under His feet, and gave Him to be head over all things to the church,

Therefore He says: When He ascended on high, He led captive the captives, and gave gifts to men.

He who descended is also the One who ascended far above all the heavens, that He might fill all things.)

Therefore God also has highly exalted Him and given Him a name which is above every name,

and that every tongue should confess that Jesus Christ is Lord, to the glory of God the Father.

who has gone into Heaven and is at the right hand of God, angels and authorities and powers having been made subject to Him.

And when I saw Him, I fell at His feet as dead. And He laid His right hand on me, saying to me, Do not be terrified; I am the First and the Last.

I am He who lives, and was dead, and behold, I am alive forevermore. Amen. And I have the keys of Hades and of Death.
