Who being the brightness of His glory and the express image of His essence, and upholding all things by the Word of His power, when He had by Himself made purification for our sins, sat down at the right hand of the Majesty on high,

But this Man, after He had offered one sacrifice for sins for all time, sat down at the right hand of God,

And I heard a voice from Heaven saying to me, Write: Blessed are the dead who die in the Lord from now on. Yes, says the Spirit, that they may rest from their labors, and their works follow with them.

So when Jesus had received the vinegar, He said, It has been finished! And bowing His head, He gave up His spirit.

Therefore, since Christ suffered for us in the flesh, arm yourselves also with the same mind, for he who has suffered in the flesh has been released from sin,

that he no longer should live the rest of his time in the flesh in the lusts of men, but in the will of God.

For we who believe do enter into rest, as He has said: So I swore in My wrath, They shall not enter into My rest, although the works were finished from the foundation of the world.

For He has spoken in a certain place of the seventh day in this way: And God rested on the seventh day from all His works;
