looking unto Jesus, the author and finisher of our faith, who for the joy that was set before Him endured the cross, despising the shame, and has sat down at the right hand of the throne of God.

Therefore, holy brethren, partakers of the Heavenly calling, consider the Apostle and High Priest of our confession, Christ Jesus,

Only fear Jehovah, and serve Him in truth with all your heart; for consider what great things He has done for you.

Consider what I say, and the Lord will give you understanding in all things.

Remember that Jesus Christ, of the seed of David, was raised from the dead according to my gospel,

A disciple is not above his teacher, nor a servant above his lord.

It is enough for a disciple that he be like his teacher, and a servant like his lord. If they have called the master of the house Beelzebub, how much more those of his household!

The Son of Man comes eating and drinking, and they say, Behold, a glutton and a wino, a friend of tax collectors and sinners! But wisdom is justified by her children.

But when the Pharisees heard it they said, This one does not cast out demons except by Beelzebub, the ruler of the demons.

Why do Your disciples transgress the tradition of the elders? For they do not wash their hands when they eat bread.

But when the chief priests and scribes saw the wonderful things that He did, and the children crying out in the temple and saying, Hosanna to the Son of David! they were indignant

and said to Him, Do You hear what these are saying? And Jesus said to them, Yes. Have you never read, Out of the mouth of babes and nursing infants You have perfected praise?

And when He came into the temple, the chief priests and the elders of the people approached Him as He was teaching, and said, By what authority do You do these things? And who gave You this authority?

But when they sought to lay hands on Him, they feared the multitudes, because they held Him as a prophet.

Then the Pharisees went and plotted how they might entangle Him in His words.

And Simeon blessed them, and said to Mary His mother, Behold, this Child is destined for the fall and rising of many in Israel, and for a sign which will be spoken against

And all those in the synagogue, when they heard these things, were filled with rage,

and rose up and thrust Him out of the city; and they led Him to the brow of the hill on which their city was built, in order to throw Him down.

And the scribes and the Pharisees began to reason, saying, Who is this who speaks blasphemies? Who is able to forgive sins but God alone?

But some of them said, He casts out demons by Beelzebub, the ruler of the demons.

Others, testing Him, sought from Him a sign from Heaven.

And as He said these things to them, the scribes and the Pharisees began to quarrel with Him forcefully, and to cross-examine Him about many things,

lying in wait for Him, and seeking to catch Him in something He might say, in order to accuse Him.

And He laid hands on her, and immediately she was made straight, and glorified God.

But the ruler of the synagogue answered with indignation, because Jesus had healed on the Sabbath; and he said to the crowd, There are six days in which men ought to work; therefore come and be healed in them, and not on the Sabbath day.

And it happened, as He went into the house of one of the rulers of the Pharisees to eat bread on the Sabbath, that they watched Him closely.

And the Pharisees and scribes murmured, saying, This Man receives sinners and eats with them.

Now the Pharisees, who were lovers of money, also heard all these things, and they derided Him.

And some of the Pharisees called to Him from the crowd, Teacher, rebuke Your disciples.

But He answered and said to them, I tell you that if these should keep silent, the stones would immediately cry out.

For this reason the Jews persecuted Jesus, and sought to kill Him, because He had done these things on the Sabbath.

And there was much murmuring among the people concerning Him. Some said, He is good; others said, No, rather, He leads the multitudes astray.

The Pharisees therefore said to Him, You bear witness of Yourself; Your testimony is not true.

Then the Jews answered and said to Him, Do we not say rightly that You are a Samaritan and have a demon?

Jesus answered, I do not have a demon; but I honor My Father, and you dishonor Me.

Then the Jews said to Him, Now we know that You have a demon. Abraham died, and the prophets; and You say, If anyone keeps My Word he shall never ever taste death.

Then they took up stones to throw at Him; but Jesus was hidden and went forth out of the temple, going through the midst of them, and so passed by.

Then some of the Pharisees who were with Him heard these words, and said to Him, Are we blind also?

And many of them said, He has a demon and is mad. Why do you listen to Him?

Then the Jews took up stones again to stone Him.

The Jews answered Him, saying, For a good work we do not stone You, but for blasphemy, and because You, being a man, make Yourself God.

If He called them gods, to whom the Word of God came (and the Scripture cannot be broken),

If I do not do the works of My Father, do not believe Me;

Therefore they sought again to seize Him, but He escaped out of their hand.

Now a great many of the Jews knew that He was there; and they came, not because of Jesus only, but that they might also see Lazarus, whom He had raised from the dead.

But the chief priests took counsel to put Lazarus to death also,

If the world hates you, you know that it has hated Me before you.

Remember the Word that I said to you, A servant is not greater than his master. If they persecuted Me, they will also persecute you. If they kept My Word, they will keep yours also.

If I had not come and spoken to them, they would have no sin, but now they have no excuse for their sin.

If I had not done among them the works which no one else did, they would have no sin. But now they have seen and also hated both Me and My Father.

And when He had said these things, one of the officers who stood by struck Jesus with the palm of his hand, saying, Do You answer the high priest this way?

And you have forgotten the exhortation which speaks to you as to sons: My son, do not despise the chastening of the Lord, nor faint when you are rebuked by Him.

And he shall say to them, Hear, O Israel: Today you are approaching battle with your enemies. Do not let your heart faint, do not be afraid, and do not tremble nor be terrified before them;

If you faint in the day of distress, your strength is small.

Even the young shall faint and be weary, and the young men shall be feeble and stumble;

but those who wait upon Jehovah shall renew their strength; they shall mount up with wings as eagles; they shall run and not be weary; they shall walk and not faint.

The Lord Jehovah has given Me the tongue of the learned, to know how to speak a word in season to the weary. He wakens morning by morning, He wakens the ear to hear as the learned.

Therefore, my beloved brethren, be steadfast, immovable, always abounding in the work of the Lord, knowing that your labor is not in vain in the Lord.

Therefore, since we have this ministry, as we have received mercy, we do not faint.

Therefore we do not faint. Even though our outward man is perishing, yet the inward man is being renewed day by day.

And let us not grow weary while doing good, for in due time we shall reap if we do not faint.

But as for you, brethren, do not grow weary in doing good.
