For to which of the angels did He ever say: You are My Son, today I have begotten You? And again: I will be to Him a Father, and He shall be to Me a Son?

When there were no depths, I was brought forth; when there were no springs abounding with water.

Before the mountains were settled, before the hills, I was brought forth;

And the Word became flesh and dwelt among us, and we beheld His glory, the glory as of the only begotten from the Father, full of grace and truth.

No one has seen God at any time. The only begotten Son, who is in the bosom of the Father, He has declared Him.

For God so loved the world that He gave His only begotten Son, that everyone believing into Him should not perish but have eternal life.

For whom He foreknew, He also predestined to be conformed to the image of His Son, that He might be the firstborn among many brethren.

He is the image of the invisible God, the firstborn of all creation.

And He is the Head of the body, the church, who is the beginning, the firstborn out from the dead, that in all things He may be preeminent.

In this the love of God was revealed in us, that God has sent His only begotten Son into the world, that we might live through Him.

and from Jesus Christ, the Faithful Witness, the Firstborn out from the dead, and the Ruler over the kings of the earth; to Him who loved us and washed us from our sins in His own blood,

Rejoice, O nations, with His people; for He will avenge the blood of His servants, and render vengeance to His adversaries; He will provide atonement for His land and His people.

Let all be put to shame who serve graven images, who boast of idols. Bow down before Him, all you gods.

And behold, an angel of the Lord stood before them, and the glory of the Lord shone around them, and they were greatly afraid.
